@edgarblythe,
We all send our love to you and the Mrs., edgar. Heard from my daughter and she says that Dave is fighting and doing better.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I discovered a great jazz musician about whom Stan Getz observed: He's a horn with a heart.

Love this song, as well, y'all.

Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

Rock, don't you love that man's style? What a discovery, Kansas.

I am given to understand that Mrs. edgar loves Stevie Wonder (lots of folks do) so here is one for her via the Mr.

@Raggedyaggie,
Ah, there's our puppy. Thank you, Raggedy, for the info and the nonet of famous folks.

Wasn't Tim Reid also born on this date? Regardless, folks, let's hear one done by Mario but great lip sync by Edmund.(edgar will love this, too)

First, Ann and Edmund, then Tim and a great memory.

And Venus Fly-trap

Actor, producer, and director Tim Reid has committed himself to projects that show American blacks in a more positive light than are generally seen in Hollywood through his United Image Entertainment company. As an actor Reid is best remembered for playing cool disc jockey Venus Flytrap on WKRP and for his short-lived sitcom Frank's Place (1987-1988). Fans of the crime-drama Simon and Simon (1981-1988) will remember him for playing Lt. Downtown Brown. Reid first appeared on television in Frankie Avalon: Easy Does It (1976). He then worked on The Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Hour (1977) and The Richard Pryor Show (1977). He made his feature film debut in Dead Bang (1989) and since then his feature film appearances have been sporadic. As a director, Reid debuted with the acclaimed Once Upon a Time...When We Were Colored (1997). As a writer, Reid has penned scripts for a series of animated videos chronicling Frank Baum's Oz tales. He also produced two feature films, Out-of-Sync (1995) and Spirit Lost (1996). On television, Reid stars in the sitcom Sister-Sister (1994- ). ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide.

Wow! What a surprise about Tim.

Two more memories:

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=KK1fTcfKaXk&feature=related

I have travelled on that bridge, but not on a bike. I've been in the Carnegie Museum where she danced, but I didn't dance. But, Jennifer Beals didn't dance there either. Marine Jahan did

@Raggedyaggie,
Ah, Raggedy, I loved the little sparrow. She always looked so sad when she sang. Thanks for that memory, PA.

Also loved Irene Cara's song. Yeah, what a feeling. You've been a lot of places, puppy and know a lot of stuff.

Breaking news, folks.

Watergate's 'Deep Throat' Dies at 95
By LOUISE CHU,
posted: 45 MINUTES AGO

SAN FRANCISCO (Dec. 19)- W. Mark Felt, the former FBI second-in-command who revealed himself as "Deep Throat" 30 years after he tipped off reporters to the Watergate scandal that toppled a president, has died. He was 95.
Felt died Thursday in Santa Rosa after suffering from congestive heart failure for several months, said family friend John D. O'Connor, who wrote the 2005 Vanity Fair article uncovering Felt's secret.

My word, he kept that secret for thirty years.

I will never forget being involved in the competition between the different schools where I taught.

One question involved "Deep Throat". the moderator was smitten with confusion when one of my students yelled at me:

Mrs. Letty, "Double Entendre" . I had no idea what she was talking about until later. Obviously, I taught one thing too many to my students.

Oops. Put that on your list of things that Letty doesn't know, puppy.

Here's another memory.

Told this one before, folks, but don't stop me 'cause I want to hear it again.

My advisor at UVA was originally from New York. He shared with us the Appalachian IQ test. One of the questions was about Little Jimmy Dickens and that song. He said, "What's a tater?" Very Happy

Dutchy, Welcome back. It's 5:00 pm here and I really like Quando, Quando, Quando. Don't often see a performer in a tux and bow tie. I really like that. Thanks, Cosmic Eagle.

I'm listening to John Gary sing this one..

Good morning, radio audience. Wow! I sacked in this AM.

Just put some sweet and low in my coffee trying to get properly awake and found out that Alfred Lord Tennyson started the trend with this song.

This one if for a sweet kitty cat.

@Letty,
That looked like an Andy Warhol cat movie.

Hey, Letty -- you'll have to send me an E mail to put you back in my address book. Had a strange computer crash and had to redownload my IncrediMail which had no addresses and I couldn't find my USB storage HD to recreate it.

Hey, puppy thanks for the background and the famous faces. Sometimes YouTube does misbehave.

Wow! Just found out that Dennis Morgan did the Desert Song as well. Tried to find One Alone by him with no luck of the Irish. Speaking of which, here's one by Dennis that is amazing.

Mr. Wizard. Great to see you in our cyber studio. I most certainly will do so and I'll think about that kitty Cat's fifteen minutes of fame.

Well, folks, I was thinking that nobody up there likes me. Remember Rocky Graziano? Well, maybe our Rocky the moose boxes.(the cruel sport) Razz

Funny, I was thinking about Magum PI because the next Monk series will feature Tony as Magum. Here's theMagum PI theme.

@Izzie,
Izzie, Welcome back. Loved that clip, but especially liked the one where Tom told the other two when Mary's diaper needed changing, " I'll give you $1,000.00 if you'll do it." Thanks, honey. You're a good person.

Wonder if anyone has heard from Mr. and Mrs. edgar.

Time for a depression song done in an upscale way. We are in a depression, folks.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dLWrewYEhA&feature=related

Back later with "Somebody up there Likes Me ". Izz, you'll remember the vocalist who does that one.
