Thanks, edgar and Endy for the Zombies and the Fab Four songs.

Letty has had a busy day, so I'm going to say goodnight a little earlier than I like.

This one is new to me, but it's truly lovely.

Good morning, WA2K radio folks.

The most beautiful sight to see in the wee hours of the morning is that huge, full moon as it sets over the intercoastal waterway lighting up the great northwest sky.

Our morning song, y'all, with a happy birthday to Dionne.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! Never heard that one, Texas. Don't ask me why, but Frog Millhouse just popped into my head. It might be the influence of The Statler Bros song about Randolph Scott. Anyway, y'all, here's a memory and a song. When I was a child and sent letters to my oldest sister, I signed them: I Am a Frog.

The guy stage right, needs to watch his intonation, methinks. Perhaps he had one to many straight with no chaser. Great chord changes, however. Reminds me a bit of The Four Freshmen.

@Raggedyaggie,
No wonder you're blue, puppy. "slushy, windy, and cold nose, too." Razz

Thanks for the great info and the montage, PA.

Here's an old familiar one by Nat and Francis, folks.

Hmm, I do believe those brown eyes outdid the blue ones.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, thanks for the clip with the trio of James, Boris, and Edward. I also enjoyed your Connie Francis song, Texas.

Wow! Van Johnson? That's really too bad, and thanks for the info.

Well, here he is in Brigadoon singing a delightful song with someone else we all know, folks.

wow! I thought everyone loved Brigadoon!

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do two.

The first one is a great jazz number

And the second one a classical. I used to play it on piano.

Hmm, folks, perhaps the second one would be a better morning song.

Tomorrow, all

@Letty,
I have not seen Brigadoon, but that number is pretty good, letty. The jazz number is alright, too.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I've never seen Brigadoon either, but we had a vinyl called Jam Session which featured a great sax piece called Heather on the Hill, and I became fascinated with the entire idea. Consequently, I began to do research and discovered the particulars.

Here is the legend

The Legend of Brigadoon
Anything is possible in Brigadoon, a village that appears for a day but once every hundred years. Nestled in the highlands of bonny Scotland, Brigadoon went to sleep in 1754 and re-awakens every 100 years on the anniversary of that date.
Brigadoon is a charming escape into a sweet fairytale. The laddies are dressed in their finest tartans and leggings while the lassies swirl about in multicolored petticoats. Everyone is young and life is lived to the fullest because the inhabitants grow older by only one day every 100 years. Conversation is witty and lively...and romance is in the air!
Anyone fortunate enough to enter Brigadoon on the one day it returns is swept up in the romance, excitement, and enjoyment of the village. Unfortunately, they can only stay but a single day. For if they stay, all that went before them is left behind. The permanent residents of the village, on the other hand, cannot leave...for if they do, the village disappears into the mists and legends of highland Scotland forever.

Liked your Como song, Texas. What a super guy and performer.

Here's a great good morning song, folks.

Now I shall have to get a copy of Brigadoon. Sounds great.
Manhattan has a nice easy sound for a weekend morning.

This song was made a hit by more than one artist. I have a hard time choosing a favorite.

@edgarblythe,
I love that version, edgar. The slide show was particularly appealing. "If I reached for your hand, would you take my gently" was a great quote. Wonder if anyone holds hands any more?

Today is Jeff Baxter's birthday, and he played guitar with both Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers. Although he is not on this one, I just love it by those brothers, so let's listen to the music.
