@edgarblythe,
Wow, edgar, That's what I call the generation gap song. Love it, Texas. (hmmm. Don't recall that episode of St. Elsewhere, however)

Here's one by Merle Travis, folks.

@alex240101,
alex, that's the perfect group to sing your song, The Snow drift(ers) Thanks for the smile, buddy.

Then, of course, there was the toothless lion who lived in the desert and was trying to make it to a nearby town by following crumbs.

"Sandy Claws is gummin' to town."

Razz

Here's an unusual song from a suite, folks.

Hey, Izzie, your song wouldn't work so I decided that this is the one that you meant, hun.

edgar, Never heard that one, but I liked it. My friend gave me a hand carved back scratcher, so now I can scratch my back myself.

@djjd62,
dj, I listened to Mary Jo and tiger's Milk several times. Great, Canada, and I had no idea they were a Scottish group. Wonder what those lyrics mean, folks.

I have been searching all day for Disney songs since edgar played that song by Fantasia, and I finally found what I was looking for. Did NOT know that Walt has Irish and Canadian DNA on his mother's side of the family. I guess we all have different strains of blood in our veins.

Well, time for me to say goodnight and I think that I shall do two songs from this classic Disney film. Tiger's Milk inspired me to think of animals again so here is Willie the Singing whale followed by Andy Russell who voice is fantastic.

Good morning, WA2K listeners and contributors.

dj, I especially enjoyed The Beautiful South's Let's Go With the Flow. Thanks, Canada.

edgar and Rock. Thanks for the songs by Sophie Hawkins. What a lovely lady and what a beautiful voice.

Well, y'all, today we have two notables whose birthday is on this day.

First, Winston Churchill. Had no idea he was an artist, so I decided to make this our art for today.

And, all, a song by Billy Idol who is also a Brit.

@Letty,
Churchill was a much better artist than many of us realize. I prefer that side of him to the political side.

@edgarblythe,
Yes, indeed, edgar, the man was multifaceted and I always love the jabs that he and George Bernard Shaw exchanged. Interesting that Winston consumed lots of liquor and smoked those cigars and lived to a ripe old age.

I always thought that Blood, Sweat, and Tears got their name from his famous speech, but it seems that the speech was really, "Blood, Toil, Tears, and Sweat."

Actually, y'all, BSandT got their name from a Johnny Cash album.

Loved Spike, Texas, and it takes a great musician and creative mind to make fun of well known writers and famous people, no?

Here's another by Spike, and later will do one by BSandT.

Many persons don't know that Spike had a seperate orchestra for "straight" music. He recorded some very nice non comic sounds.

@edgarblythe,
I believe it, edgar. I was also thinking of Homer and Jethro, both of whom were fantastic musicians.

Let's listen to this one by Blood, Sweat, and Tears, folks.
