Hmmm, yes, so I see. I had no idea I was so "influential" on some folks lives. I promise not to let it get to my head. Wink

I'm sure you will have noticed by now I have moved away from my own HI stuff and working a different angle.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

My word, how did I miss RH's Joe Turner song, and all this time I thought he had me on his ignore list. Thanks, Kansas, and the lyrics to that one reminded me of Hawthorne's Dr. Heidegger's Experiment.

Also, love Bill Evans' Polkadots and Moonbeams.

Reyn, Albert, as I understand it, was not much on talking, but I love the allusion, Canada. Thanks for the smile this early morning.

Well, it seems that farmerman and Reyn have "kissed and made up." I'm not surprised that he appreciates edgar's poetry nor that he has come to see the humor in our Reyn's funny stuff.

I like Barry Manilow, edgar, and here is one that takes us back a bit. We'll dedicate this to our blue puppy, as she knows her movies.

It seems that I am not the only one who thinks hubby may have been the culprit in the python misadventure. It would be the perfect crime.

@Letty,
Good morning. It is rather cold here this morning, and due to dip in the 30s tonight. I bet it's rather foggy in London town this time of year.

@edgarblythe,
Brrrrrr. It is 42 degrees in my wee studio, edgar. What a perfect song for "the velvet fog". Love it, Texas.

Another by dear Nat, folks, and I always think of Kitchen Pete when I hear this one.

@Raggedyaggie,
Good morning to you, PA. "the pup with fur that's so blue is waiting for you,back in her own back yard." Razz

Thanks for the comparison between me and Julia, gal. Actually, my hair is about the color of Jane's.

Great info and wonderful montage of famous folks, and thanks again.

Thinking of Joaquin, y'all, but there is something so tender about this song, that I think I shall play it for our listeners.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for that one, edgar. I was a mite sad after playing the one about Joaquin and River Phoenix. Ah, a contest with the devil and Charlie won. Love it!

Inspired by edgar's thread about the python, I thought a little more fun might be in order, folks. Monty Python is always spoofing things, and this time it has to do with knighthood.

I don't believe I have played this Dylan piece here before. The accompanying video seems irrelevant to the song.

Beyond back to normal, dear. We hardly have time to think back to the storm, being busy with everyday issues, such as transportation and keeping up with jobs.

You're right, edgar. That song by Bob did not fit the background, but I liked it, buddy.

Alex, Welcome back and I loved that song, "I'm Coming Out". Great motown and jazz combination. Thanks.

Well, Rocky, the killer bunny was funny, honey. Razz We'll dedicate that to Deb and Dutchy.

Ah, Izzie, it is always nice to see you here and that lovely classical piece made my shores seem a bit sleepy. The animals looked content, too. Thanks, hun.

Thanks for asking about our well being. Son is not good, but I hope for the best. That's all that I can do.

Speaking of coffee, love this one by a great vocalist. After Izzie's "Sleepy Shores", we all may need it.

I know that one best by Sinatra, letty. Here are two of my boys, on twin pianos, playing some of my alltime favorite theme music.

@edgarblythe,
Fabulous, edgar. I saw that movie, but cannot remember one bit about it. I do recall Ferrante and Teicher, however.

Time for me to say goodnight, and we'll dedicate this song to the Canucks.

@Letty,
I have watched The Apartment within the past year. It was about a guy being used as a patsy for company execs, who used his apartment to bring dates, driving him into the street on many a night. In the end he gets a bit of spine and also wins the girl (Shirley McClain, I think).
Once I get Jack Lemon on the brain, I can't quit with one video, so here he is again.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning, WA2K radio.

edgar, I did not see Cowboy, but I do recall Jack Lemon in The Days of Wine and Roses. (thanks for the brief synopsis of The Apartment)

Jack's character made it; Lee's did not. Strange, that's the first time that I had ever heard about "the dry alcoholic".

A lovely ballad, folks.
