Well, well. Einstein agrees with me in our quote for the day.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

edgar, that song by Nana and Harry was beautiful. Hey, Texas. I'm trying to remember, but I had to check out Nana Mouskouri and found this.

Nana Mouskouri (in Greek, Nάνα Μούσχουρη), born as Ioanna Mouskhouri on October 13, 1934, in Chania, Crete, Greece, is a singer. She was known as Nana to her friends and family as a child. (Note that in Greek her surname is pronounced with the stress on the first syllable rather than the second.) She has recorded in many different languages, including Greek, French, English, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Welsh, among others.

Intrigued by the Hurricane group, I found this by Marty Robbins, folks.

@Letty,
Good morning. I got Duane Eddy here to wake everybody from their slumber, to hit the ground running, as it were.

Well, edgar, I hit the ground walking early this morning. Razz

Liked your Duane "Rebel Rouser", Texas

Is this one considered a "Rebel Rouser"?

October 3 is the national holiday in Germany - our reunification day. While not everything about this has been or is easy and not everything was a turn to the better - I am glad it happened and here are some pictures for this special day.

@urs53,
urs, welcome back, honey. Happy Unification day. As Francis Bacon noted:

God created war to help the Americans learn geography. Razz

How about a bit of history and geography for our listeners.

I was indulging in a bit of nostalgia this afternoon. The first movie I went to see with my wife starred John Travolta. . .

The Bee Gees did that one. Razz

Ah, the disco days, y'all.

The last movie that I saw with Bud was The Others. Dragged him to it, of course, and it opened with a high pitched scream, and he stuffed parts of a paper napkin in his ears which remained there for the duration of the film.

edgar should know this one. It's Stevie Ray Vaughan's birthday, so I thought that I would play it.

@Letty,
Honestly, I'm not a fan of Stevie Ray. I acknowledge his talent, but am unable to pay attention through a whole song by him.

@edgarblythe,
I'm assuming that you mean Vaugham Monroe, Texas. Ghost Riders in the Sky would be perfect for Halloween, and if anyone here remembers Bert Lee(Squeedle boink I think was his screen name on A2K)He was inspired by that song to do many of his own. Hope he is all right.

How about this Monroe, then. Love this theme tonight, folks.

Back later with my goodnight song, y'all.
