Francis, my friend. So good to have you back. Pour yourself an aperitif and catch your breath. We're very patient and will await your answers at your leisure.

I was beginning to contemplate dinner myself. I think tonight I'll opt for the franks and beans with a beer. Nothing but the best.

basketcase, you are very welcome here on WA2K radio. I know that dogs eat hush puppies (shoes and cornbread thingies alike. Razz )

Sooooo, in between Walter's Har(l)em (love that, Walter) and Bob's gettin' better all the time, we welcome you to basket weaving 101. Will that be osier or Philippine bamboo?

And here's Francis looking through the French history chapter with beer in hand as Bob contemplates beans and franks.

Well, well. We now have Wales back, and Germany. Where's England? I think Norway is hanging out with the philosophers and thinking about stone soup.

Any requests, listeners?

Hi Letty. I started a post yesterday ( Catacombs of Paris). I mentioned I had read about them in Victor Hugo's Les Miserables. Anyway Francis posted a virtual tour. It's worth a visit if you don't mind seeing some old bones.

Bones point the way. That's Treasure Island again.

Hey I did't know there was a welsh person on this radio programme.

Welsh, you missed the unusual event of seeing a Scot send in a post about Cwm Rhondda and some silly welsh folksong.

Hi Banned Wagon. I wouldn't try to read all of it either. You might go back a page or two to get the flavor of what's being asked or answered. Welcome to a2k and jump in wherever you want. Or you can just read if you prefer.

Well, just took the tour, Bob. Fascinating! Thanks to you and Francis.

McTag, Wales_Rules has been away for a while, but he is most definitely from Wales.

Hey, Banned wagon. I saved much of it to favorites, so that I could quietly go through the catacombs in the wee small hours of the morning. So much eerier in the deep of night.

No, no, banned wagon. You save to favorites the part that you finished so that you can go back later and complete the tour. Very Happy

and now it is happy hour, so I must leave for a bit and see what is going in the world of Orlando.

Hmmm. All's quiet in the studio. Song for silence:

Everybody's talkin' at me
Can't hear a word they're sayin'
Only the echos of my mind
People stop and stare
I can't see their faces
Only the shadows of their eyes

Going where the sun keeps shinin'
Through the pourin' rain
Goin' where the weather suits my clothes
Bankin' off of a northeast wind
And sailin' on a summer breeze
Skippin' over the ocean like a stone

Going where the sun keeps shinin'
Through the pourin' rain
Goin' where the weather suits my clothes
Bankin' off of a northeast wind
And sailin' on a summer breeze
Skippin' over the ocean like a stone

Everybody's talkin' at me
Can't hear a word they're sayin'
Only the echos of my mind
I won't you leave my love behind
I won't you leave my love behind
I won't you leave my love behind
No, I won't you leave my love behind

Just found out that amontillado is a Spanish sherry. And what is sherry but fortified wine.

here's one for your playlist from me letty,,,

Go on home British soldiers, go on home.
Have you got no feckin' homes of your own ?
For eight hundred years we've fought you without fear
And we will fight you for eight hundred more.

If you stay British soldiers, if you stay
You will never ever beat the IRA
The fourteen men in Derry are the last that you will bury
So take a tip and leave us while you may.

No, we're not British, we're not Saxon, we're not English
We're Irish! and proud we are to be.
So feck your union jack we want our country back
We want to see old Ireland free once more.

Well we're fighting British soldiers for the cause
We'll never bow to soldiers because
Throughout our history we were born to be free
So get out British soldiers, leave us be.
