@Letty,
Okay, I finally found your thread again. I wasn't having much luck. It's late here now though. I'll try to drop in again tomorrow.

G'night all!

@Letty,
Bewitched, bothered, and bewildered sort of sums up my feelings about the new A2K right now. So, Ella and I will bid everyone a good night.

Peace to all.

@firefly,
Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

Reyn, welcome back to our wee cyber radio station. It's always good to see you here, buddy.

firefly, When Ella sings straight without the scat, she is one fabulous vocalist, and I love that song, gal. Thanks!

Well, folks, like most new stuff, things need practice before we can acclimate ourselves to the changes.

Today is Christain Slater's birthday, so let's hear a tribute to him. I really liked him in The Untamed Heart.

Just dropping in to say, "Good morning." I am still disoriented on the new site, kind of like the duck that still goes around the stone in its path, even though the stone was removed.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, love that duck delight. Yes, Texas, we all are a bit "stoned" at the moment, but we'll adjust eventually.

Here's our quote for the day:

"I think we should take Iraq and Iran and combine them into one country and call it Irate. All the pissed off people live in one place and get it over with."

@Letty,
Good morning, all.

Happy Birthday to Robert Redford, a great actor and director.

I guess "The Way We Were" also applies to A2K. Wink

@firefly,
Another birthday tribute, this time for Shelley Winters. We all remember her fine acting work, but we didn't often get to hear her sing. Now we can, in this clip from her film, "Playgirl". She sounds pretty darn good.

@Raggedyaggie,
Been listening to the weather reports about the storm heading for Florida. We certainly hope our PD and her WA2K studio will weather the storm well, no matter what comes their way.

Ah, firefly, I remember that "Hurricane"; what a sad and unjust situation. Tropical Storm Fay becomes just a wind compared to that man's life. Love all your tributes to the celebs, and will be back shortly to acknowledge each one.

Raggedy, Thanks for the montage once again and the song . Ah, we miss Lord Ellpus as his wife was supposed to resemble Jennifer Grey.

Dear Robert Redford; a real man, a real actor and director, and a delightful "reel" person

I recall Shelly Winters in that great and ironic movie, A Place in the Sun. Montgomery Cliff surprised us all, no?

Now for a tribute to Edward Norton and I think his piece de resistance was Primal Fear, but I am not certain of that.

This Les Paul and Mary Ford tune is probably my top favorite of theirs.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I never hear Les Paul and Mary Ford that I don't think of my cousin, Billy, teaching little Letty how to play Dear One the World is Waiting for the Sunrise in Bflat. I'm going to try that shortly. Hummingbirds are always nice. Thanks, Texas.

This is for Bud who introduced them to the area in Virginia via his radio station.

@edgarblythe,
Goodnight, firefly and thank you for playing Bo Jangles.

edgar, dear. I am assuming you meant to play Honeycomb by Jimmy. Love that one, Texas.

Time for me to say goodnight, y'all.

How about some opera set in Egypt.
