Hiya, Letty. I took a week's sabbatical to God's Country (The Rockies).

Don't have youtube ability right now, but I must imagine that's a song about a Lineman. Thanks for the dedication.

I started with white, so might as well finish with black--black magic, that is.

Thanks everyone, for the contributions. firefly has played more than the colors of the rainbow and Raggedy has given us a time song.

Hey, BioBob. Thanks again for all the background on the famous folks, and I am quite surprised that as a temp you graded standardized tests. I hope they paid you well for that job, 'cause whatever it was it wasn't enough. Loved the answers, and there's no way a Florida dolphin can beat up on a Boston hawk.

Ticomaya, that was Glen Campbell singing the Witchita Lineman, buddy. Glad that you got out of Kansas for awhile, but as Dorothy said, "There's no place like home."

edgar, hurricane Dolly is on it's way. Let us know, ok?

Here's my own color song, folks, and what a surprised to hear it by an Italian quartet. The Four Freshmen originally did it. They were The four guys that sound like a million and played their own instruments.

If I messed up on the spelling, tell Bob that I did well on all my tests except math and phonics.

A local newsman just said the storm appears to him to be headed more in our direction now than before. We shall see what the next update holds. The storm is moving fast. I'm hoping it will not slow any. At any rate, we are quite a few miles from the water of the gulf, meaning, the brunt of it would hit in Houston before Tomaball. For that reason, the missus and I would ride it out at the apartments, rather than evacuate.

The late Roy Orbison. How many octaves could he manage? I don't recall.

Raggedy, I love that song. There used to be a member here whose screen name was colorbook. I hope she is all right.

There was also another member named tico/ti from Canada. Wonder what happened to her.

edgar, that was a great song by Roy. Never heard it. I guess everyone knows his Pretty Woman, and I hadn't realized that he died of a massive heart attack.

Somehow, folks, every time I hear Raggedy's song, I think of this one by Bread.

Ah, Raggedy, that brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful slide show of Vincent's paintings. Many were quite lovely, PA. Thank you.

Of course, you know that I love American Pie by Don, and I played an explanation of each verse not too long ago, but I guess I shouldn't again.

Instead, let's do one for the hurricane. Maybe music will soothe her savage breast. Here it is, with Babs and Louis.

edgar, I remember that song. I just noticed that Ruben Carter lives in Toronto and has been awarded an honorary doctorate. Justice has been served.

firefly, Love Lena. Wasn't she evil in Cabin in the Sky? I'll have to check that out, folks.

Here's another Ruben, y'all.

This past May, the NY Philharmonic did a semi-staged concert production of Camelot which was broadcast live on pbs. Lancelot was played by the wonderful opera baritone, Nathan Gunn--a man who not only sounds good, he looks good too.

So, I leave you for today, with Nathan Gunn

Goodnight, firefly. You are right, I love the way Nathan did If Ever I Should Leave you.

Well, folks, librarian Letty has been searching for Cabin in the Sky and found out that it was based on the Faust legend as were many such productions.

Here's a wonderful song from that musical, and my goodnight song, too.

as always,

Good early morning, WA2K listeners and contributors.

edgar, that was the most fascinating video that I have ever heard and seen. First, I had no idea that Van Morrison was from Northern Ireland and then for someone to create a lovely song imagining what he would have written for The Belle of Amherst is captivating. Thanks, Texas, for that unique experience.

Stayed up most of the night watching Cold Case Files and one was so close to the disappearance of the McCann child in Portugal and the other from the little girl from Orange County, Florida, that is was really spooky.

Today is Don Henley's birthday. So let's hear one by that drummer for the Eagles.
