edgar, that was beautiful. Judy Collins is such a wonderful vocalist. Yes, Texas, who knows where the time goes.

I was thinking about my graduation day, folks. This one says it.

The Lettermen have many wonderful songs. I was not familiar with that one, however. Thanks, letty.

Ah, yes, edgar. America the Beautiful should have been our national anthem. It was written by a school teacher.

A wonderful testimonial to Martin Luther King, Jr., Texas.

Another memory of graduation day, folks. This was by a canajun foursome. You might recognize some artifacts.

Public schools have changed, edgar. Had a great discussion with some folks at the doctor's office. Perhaps it's for the better; perhaps not.

This one is for the Bears and their beach excursion.

Julio Iglasias sings Cucurucucu Paloma. I wanted the Belafonte version, but Julio does it justice, also.

Rex, that was a wonderful love song. Uko Ono and John. Thank you, Maine.

edgar, dear. I love that song. I don't even have to have a translation. La Paloma the dove. So white; so pure.

Well, it's time for me to say goodnight, and I'll let George Benson do it for me, folks.

Clint Eastwood & Merle Haggard Bar Room Buddies
I just got done watching "Bronco Billy" with Clint Eastwood
This song was in the movie.

Bar Room Buddies Clint Eastwood and Merle Haggard

Hey I want to sing till the feeling gets right
Lets harmonize we'll be dynamite
I'll yodel the high notes I've done it for years
Good deal old buddy, and I'll pour the beer
Theres always some lady alone at the bar
Yea and you always let her know just who you are
I know a couple gals that we can call and they'll shake
The pictures right off the wall

We're bar room buddies and thats the best kind
Nobody fools with a buddy of mine
I laugh when your happy
And I cry when your blue
We're bar room buddies and we're doing fine
So pour me another we got nothing but time
Old chug-a-lug a lugging bar room buddy of mine

The bar tender is trying to turn out the light
Well maybe it is time we call it a night
Hell we'll wake up the roosters if we drink em real slow
Well lets have a double and a six pack to go.

We're bar room buddies and thats the best kind
Nobody fools with a buddy of mine
I laugh when your happy
And I cry when your blue
We're bar room buddies and we're doing fine
So pour me another we got nothing but time
Old chug-a lugging bar room buddy of mine

Hell we're skirt chasing
Tail kicking
Guitar picking
Pool hustling
Old chug-a lugging
Old bar room buddy of mine

I have always been a Jackie Wilson fan. This particular recording was just added on youtube. It is the song by him I love the most.

Good morning, WA2K radio folks.

Victor, that duo by Clint and Merle was a big surprise. Had no idea that they ever sang together. Thanks, buddy.

edgar, Jackie Wilson was awesome on that song. I never realized that he had such a fantastic voice. The melody sounded as though it had been adapted from a classical piece. Now I will be hearing it in my head and trying to discern which classical it was.

Today is Bobby Darin's birthday, and let's begin the day with an upbeat version of "Beyond the Sea".

Good afternoon WA2K.

That Jackie Wilson song is driving me crazy. Either it's a classical piece or someone else performed it with different words. Can't get it out of my head. Laughing

I should have remembered that was from Samson and Delilah, but I didn't. Laughing

Thanks for putting my mind at rest. Beautiful, isn't it?

Fantastic, and how I remembered it is beyond me.

Don't you think that there should be a tribute to Letty? Razz

Well, this tribute to Cate is about The Virgin Queen, and I'm from Virginia soooooo.
