Ah, dear edgar. Thank you for that Nat Cole song. I will always love that man's voice and his style of singing.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I can't think of a better way to do it than with a great classical, folks.

One of Arlo Guthrie's best recordings. City of New Orleans. My favorite train song.

Did you know Little Richard recorded By the Light of the Silvery Moon? While searching for it, fruitlessly, I might add, I came across this version by Jackie Wilson.

I have reason to believe Laverne Baker hated this song. But, it was probably her biggest seller. Jim Dandy.

edgar, I must check out Laverne Baker. Did someone do her in a movie? I had no idea that she did Jim Dandy, however.

Speaking of movies, folks, I watched two here and both were great. One was The Good Year with Russell Crowe, and the other Pocahontas. That may not have been the exact name, but I am certain that our audience gets the drift.

Here is a beautiful song from the movie.

am not aware of a Laverne Baker movie. My favorite song by her is I Cried a Tear.

Here is MissTony Fisher, singing The Big Hurt. Probably her only hit. I love her voice and the music behind it.

The polka dot bikini song always makes me think of this song, I guess because they were popular in the same time frame. And they are kooky. The ginchiest.

Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

edgar, that wasn't the best era of music, right? The attraction of the movie ,The Good Year, was the varied and wonderful songs that were in the background, Texas.

Today is Duke Ellington's birthday, y'all, and I simple could not find a good original song by the man. I chose another version of this timeless classic, since many have done it.

and a good evening to you, Dutchy. Although that song makes me a bit melancholy, it is beautiful, especially when done as a duet.

This one is for you, my down under friend.
