One person's "bad rhyme" is another person's lingo. Smile

Good morning, WA2K radio.

edgar, that moonshine song and dance was funny. Thanks for the morning smile, Texas.

Rex, welcome back, and your lyrics were great, Maine. You may tell hingehead that your comparison rhyme was a metaphor. Razz

hinge, you are most welcome on our little cyber radio. Stick around, Aussie.

Also enjoyed the accordion piece, Rex. Thanks!

Well, all, today is Loretta Lynn's birthday, and this song reminds me of my friend, Santa Tomas E Lucas. We judged a talent contest and some rather large young lady sang the following song. Dan looked at me when she sang, "You ain't woman enough to take my man", and said.

I believe her.

Nice singing, letty.

In an earlier time, I did not care to listen to Dolly Parton's voice. But, I gradually changed my mind. Here is a very nice one from her, The Coat of Many Colors.

And, a sort of redneck anthem to finish the night's offerings. Yee-haw.

Nor I, edgar, but I have come to appreciate performers whatever the genre. I liked "Coat of Many Colors". Rather reminded me of the Ballad of the Harp Weaver.

Well, folks, it's time for me to say goodnight, and hearing "Take Five" also reminded me of Paul Desmond, so this is what I will hear in my dreams.

From Letty with love.

P.S. Will listen to the red neck tomorrow. Razz

Good morning, WA2K listeners and contributors.

First, allow me to say that it is COLD here, but I got a kick out of edgar's red neck song. Thanks, Texas.

Here's an odd coincidence. I was checking out The Ballad of the Harp Weaver and found that Johnny Cash did a version of the poem in song; however, I couldn't find a proper version on YouTube. Perhaps someone else can do so.

When I listened to Yee-Haw, I saw Leon Russel's name among the listings, so I decided to play this one.
