Hey, puppy, I didn't know that Rob Downey, Jr. could sing either. Just went a searching and found that.

Great collage as usual, PA, and more synchronicity as I watched a few brief scenes of Craig in a creature feature last evening adapted from Peter Benchley's book. Same old-same old, however.

Regardless of what we think of Heath Ledger, (I have never seen that kid in anything) here is a nice tribute to him.

heard about this band from mojo magazine

Those Dancing Days are a indie pop band with Northern Soul and girl-group influences, from Nacka, a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden, formed in 2005. They are currently signed to Wichita Recordings.

Those Dancing Days are five teenage girls from Stockholm. Their name derives from the Led Zeppelin song "Dancing Days". Two of the band members are still in school, but they received a lot of publicity during 2007 including being featured in NME and on MTV2. They were also nominated for the Best Swedish Act prize at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2007. They released a 5-track EP in Sweden before being signed by UK label Wichita Recordings, who released a self-titled single in October 2007 (described as "Blondie backed by the Attractions", and "The Slits rehearsing with Bow Wow Wow whilst breaking in a new drummer"), with a second single, "Hitten", and an album to follow in 2008.

The band have played many gigs in their native Sweden as well as in the United Kingdom and Germany.

My goodness, folks, edgar and dj have been playing away.

Thanks, guys, for Dylan and Baez; for those dancin' Swedish girls, for dear youthful Judy. (she was sixteen when she did Dorothy) and for Beulah. (my mom or somebody sang a hymn called Beulah Land; can't recall just now)

Time for me to say goodnight, and I thought this one would be quite appropriate.

edgar, know the song, but not the performer. Thanks, buddy.

And there's our Raggedy who ran in and out and left behind a trio and their famous roles.

Thanks, PA.

Something a little different today, listeners. Today in history, Pocahontas married John Rolf. This Disney adaptation gets both of my states in the limelight.

I love that opening scene and theme music to Mockingbird, Letty.

And, I was surprised because although I didn't think you were going to do Duel, I did think you were going to do this one: Very Happy

Anyone here remember this one? Our Phoenix likes Patti, so we'll dedicate this one to her. Hey firebird, hope all is well now.

Your day will be wonderful, PA. Thanks for the wonderful song by Miss Ella. Best that I have ever heard her sing, but perhaps it was because she did my "telling" song.

Old Gringo

http://www.donswaim.com/peck.jpg

When school teacher Harriet Winslow (Jane Fonda) goes to Mexico to teach, she is kidnapped by Gen. Tomas Arroyo (Jimmy Smits) & his revolutionaries. An aging American, Ambrose "Old Gringo" Bierce (Gregory Peck) also in Mexico, befriends Gen. Arroyo & meets Harriet. Bierce is a famous writer, who knowing that he is dying, wishes to keep his identity secret so he can determine his own fate. Though he likes Arroyo, Bierce tries to provoke the General's anger whenever possible in an attempt to get himself killed, thus avoiding suffering through his illness. Winslow is intrigued by both Bierce and Arroyo, and the men are in turn attracted to her. She becomes romantically involved with Arroyo. When Winslow learns of Bierce's true identity (a writer whose work she has loved and respected for years), she is single mindedly determined to fulfill his dying wish.

edgar, that was an interesting song, and Bob looks rather tired himself.

Speaking of horses, folks, here is one by an Italian Canadian singer.
