edgar, loved Miss Peggy Lee. (not to be confused with Miss Piggy)Although I am not familiar with Martin Denny, that song was fascinating. Thanks, Texas.

And our Bob is back with great celeb background and his joke for the day. Poor Becky. Wonder if she's a trophy hanging on someone's wall.

Love Nancy Wilson, folks, but I couldn't find the song on YouTube that I like--"Guess Who I Saw Today, my Dear", but this one is great.

when Bob mentioned Nancy Wilson, i immediately thought of the jazz singer who made a cool recording of <Save your love for me> with Cannonball Adderley. then when i saw her birthday, i couldn't believe i'm practically the same age, but i read further & learned that this Nancy Wilson recorded with Heart, not Cannonball. So many of the old songs have been discovered by young singers that recognize their beauty, M.D.

Here's another that I like by Nancy.

There's our Raggedy, folks, with a marvelous montage of famous faces.

er, puppy, what other Nancy? Thanks, PA. You do a marvelous job with colorful collages. Still don't know how you do it. Hmmm. Nancy Wilson seems to be missing on our studio monitor.

Here's a funny song by Jerry, y'all, and I recall giving my electric typewriter to the sheriff here.

UhOh, Your PD is confused again. Anyone out there surprised?

PA, Who was the other Nancy born on Feb. 20th? Are those two lovely ladies at the bottom of your collage Isabelle Huppert?

Until we can figure things out, folks, here's the theme from Chips as a tribute to Erik Estrada.

Isn't this Nancy Wilson (who was born on Feb. 20) the Nancy you played? Confused

My word, Raggedy. I didn't take the time to read Bob's Nancy. So sorry, all. I just assumed too much. There are four Nancy Wilsons on wikipedia.

Hey, M.D. you can relax now. Razz

Back in a few, PA, to listen to another of the February Nancy Wilson.

In the interim, here's a song for hbg who couldn't see the picture of The Battle of New Orleans.

Oh, my Gawd, all. Our Raggedy just replayed "I Want to be Loved".

This is going to be one of those Sunday's. Maybe it's time for a church song. Razz

This is lovely and adapted to music from the poem of James Russell Lowell.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSawv4TPM-Y

The poem:

James Russell Lowell (1819-1891)

Once to every man and nation,
Comes the moment to decide,
In the strife of truth with false-hood,
For the good or evil side;

Some great cause, some great decision,
Offering each the bloom or blight,
And the choice goes by forever,
'Twixt that darkness and that light.

Then to side with truth is noble,
When we share her wretched crust,
Ere her cause bring fame and profit,
And 'tis prosperous to be just;

Then it is the brave man chooses,
While the coward stands aside,
Till the multitude make virtue,
Of the faith they had denied.

Though the cause of evil prosper,
Yet the truth alone is strong:
Though her portion be the scaffold,
And upon the throne be wrong,

Yet that scaffold sways the future,
AND, BEHIND THE DIM UNKNOWN,
STANDETH GOD WITHIN THE SHADOW,
KEEPING WATCH ABOVE HIS OWN.

edgar, I loved your Roaring 20's song. That era had a resurgence in popularity much later, and we'll have to dedicate that to our ehBeth "Miss Five Feet Two Eyes of Blue."

Well, folks, it's going to be hard to follow that precious child singing and dancing. You're right, Texas, he is the cuteness department, and he performs like a champ. Thanks for the smile.

It's time for me to say goodnight, and I cannot think of a better way to do it than with this song by KD Lang.

See you all in the morning.

From Letty with love

Over And Over

Could you ever need me
And would you know how
Don't waste our time
Tell me now
All you have to do
Is speak out my name,
And I would come running, anyway

Chorus
And I said
Could it be me, could it really really be?
Over and over
Could it be me, could it really really be?

And I said
Could it be me, could it really really be?
Over and over
Could it be me, could it really really be?

Don't turn me away
And don't let me down
What can I do
To keep you around

Chorus
And I said
Could it be me, could it really really be?
Over and over
Could it be me, could it really really be?

Over and over
Over and over

Top O the morning to you, WA2K radio fans and contributors.

Rex, Thanks for the Fleetwood Mac song, buddy, and your "Summer Wine" video was great, Maine.

Love this one, and we'll dedicate it to all our Irish folk out there.
