When this old world starts getting me down
And people are just too much for me to face
I climb way up to the top of the stairs
And all my cares just drift right into space
On the roof, it's peaceful as can be
And there the world below can't bother me
Let me tell you now
When I come home feelin' tired and beat
I go up where the air is fresh and sweet
(Up on the roof)
I get away from the hustling crowd
And all that rat-race noise down in the street
(Up on the roof)
On the roof, the only place I know
Where you just have to wish to make it so
Let's go up on the roof
(Up on the roof)
---- Instrumental Interlude ----
At night the stars put on a show for free
And, darling, you can share it all with me
I keep a-tellin' you
Right smack dab in the middle of town
I've found a paradise that's trouble proof
(Up on the roof)
And if this world starts getting you down
There's room enough for two
Up on the roof (up on the roof)
Up on the roo-oo-oof (up on the roof)
Oh, come on, baby (up on the roof)
Oh, come on, honey (up on the roof)
FADE
Everything is all right
(Up on the roof)

Well, edgar, here's another place The Drifters like to be, but certainly not right now, I would think:
When the sun beats down and burns the tar up on the roof,
And your shoes get so hot you wish your tired feet were fireproof,
Under the boardwalk, down by the sea,
On a blanket with my baby, that's where I'll be.
From the park you hear the happy sound of the carousel,
You can almost taste the hot dogs and french fries they sell,
Under the boardwalk, down by the sea,
On a blanket with my baby, that's where I'll be.
Under the boardwalk, (Out of the sun)
Under the boardwalk, (We'll be having some fun)
Under the boardwalk, (People walking above)
Under the boardwalk, (We'll be falling in love)
Under the boardwalk, (Boardwalk!)
Oooh, la la la la la la.
Oooh, la la la la la la la la la.
Help me somebody, sing some la la's with me.
Under the night, under the stars by the raging sea.
Under the boardwalk, down by the sea,
On a blanket with my baby, that's where I'll be.
Under the boardwalk, (Out of the sun)
Under the boardwalk, (We'll be having some fun)
Under the boardwalk, (People walking above)
Under the boardwalk, (We'll be falling in love)
Under the boardwalk, (Boardwalk!)
Bette Midler also did that one.

odd that i would be reading about the goods washing up on the english shores, and for that matter the bad, as in lot's of oil, and a song about a boardwalk is played
let's hope there's more motorcycles and less crude under letty's boardwalk
The Oil Song
Steve Forbert
"Oh the engine's gone dead," cried the men who work there
And she passed up the dock on the wide Delaware
Then the ship ran aground and the oil got away
And they penned that report, "The Big Spill" on that day
It was hundreds of thousands of gallons galore
Stretching thirty-two miles down the Delaware shore
There were geese in the marshes out looking for food
They got stuck where they stood in the oncoming crude
And it's oil, oil
Ah, drifting to the sea
Oil, oil
Don't buy it at the station, you can have it now for free
Just come on down to the shoreline where the water used to be
In the well-charted waters of the Nantucket shoals
There's a ship run aground full of oil, we were told
In a week's worth of rough winter weather and waves
The boat started cracking and it could not be saved
It was seven-point-six million gallons this time
Consider the danger and think of the crime
As it poured out a slick stretching into the tide
Over hundred-miles and yes, it came deep, it came wide
And it's oil, oil
Oil pouring in the sea
Oil, oil
Oh, don't buy it at the station, you can have it now for free
Just come on down to the shoreline where the water used to be
There's talk of some writing found in the ship's log
Saying one of the helmsmen's unfit for his job
And the ship's gyro compass was six degrees shy
Their charts were outdated but they, they tried to get by
And you know it's oil, oil
Yeah, pouring in the sea
Oil, oil
Don't buy it at the station, you can have it now for free
Just come on down to the shoreline where the water used to be
Yeahhh
Now both of these ships, like a great many more
Got registered in through Liberian doors
Inspections are quick and regulations are few
Just sign on the line and go find you a crew, yes
One of these ships was the Olympic Games
The Argo Merchant was the other one's name
Well it's sad, but it's true, things got worse for the seas
'Cause I ain't even mentioned Amoco Cadiz
Amoco Cadiz, between England and France
The big super tanker out there taking it's chance
With its one-hundred-thousand black tons of the slime
Amoco Cadiz spilled the most of all time
Yes, ya' know it's oil, oil
Man, it's creepin' in the sea
Oil, oil
Oh, don't buy it at the station, you can have it now for free
Just come on down to the shoreline where the water used to be
Now down in the Gulf east of Mexico Way
There's something gone wrong, so the papers all say
A Mexican oil well is leaking it's goo
They say it's the worse that things have ever come to
Yes it's gallons of sludge, sixty-million and more
It's cruising and oozing towards many a shore
Yes, things have got bad but they will probably get worse
If you can't drink the oil, oh, you might, you might die of thirst
Because it's oil, it's oil
And it's creeping in the sea
Oil, oil
Don't buy it at the station, you can have it now for free
Just come on down to the shoreline where the water used to be

NEVER SAY GOODBYE
Words and Music by Bob Dylan
Twilight on the frozen lake
North wind about to break
On footprints in the snow
Silence down below.
You're beautiful beyond words
You're beautiful to me
You can make me cry
Never say goodbye.
Because my dreams are made of iron and steel
With a big bouquet
Of roses hanging down
From the heavens to the ground.
The crashing waves roll over me
As I stand upon the sand
Wait for you to come
And grab hold of my hand.
Oh, baby, baby, baby blue
You'll change your last name, too
You've turned your hair to brown
Love to see it hangin' down.

some more from mr. forbert
Steve Forbert's Midsummer Night's Toast
Here's to all you all you lucky dogs, it's heads or tails.
Here's to all you filthy rich, I wish you well.
Here's to all the pretty women made for cash.
And here's to dashing daddy's son he's such a flash.
Well, I been lookin' and walkin' 'round the
sunset square,
Singin' an' talkin' with my friends down there,
sittin' an' lis'nin' with a young man's ear,
to all the rainbow dreams
Here's to all the shitty jobs that I despise.
Here's to two-bit guarantees and other lies.
Here's to roads of burning tar and hot cement.
Here's to money in my hand and where it went.
Well, I got my fingers a-tapping on the hard,
stone steps.
I'm waiting for lightning and the rains to fall.
Young lovers are loafin' with their sidewalk smiles
And all their rainbow dreams.
Amy Alice in the Summer
With a sack lunch and a punch card.
See my sister with a drag job.
Man, she feels like she's a hundred years ago.
Here's to people living lives that they regret.
Work your fingers to the bone and sink in debt.
Here's to all those shaky tricks that hustlers try.
You know their easy money is oft' times hard.
They flash a grin an' they wink their eye, well...
I been livin' an' breathin' in the rat trap town.
Tryna get over where the wall breaks down.
Holdin' my head up with my thin tired arms
and all my rainbow dreams
Big City Cat
Buildings an' people down under the skies,
I walk down the street lookin' out through my eyes,
I'm getting so skinny it hurts to sit down,
I'm deep in the well, I'm in the rat trap town.
Where it's dirty for dirty, it's an eye for an eye,
it's a tooth for a tooth an' a sigh for a sigh
an' ev'rything's edgy like musical chairs
an' ev'ryone's lookin', but who really cares?
Well, I'm tryn' to get up, tryn' to laugh in my head,
I'm walkin' on eggs and I'm climbin' on thread.
There's motors an' traffic an' racket an' horns;
my weary ol' stairway is wobbly an' worn.
There a hissin' of heaters an' bangin' ol' pipes,
screaming of women an' laughin' all night,
there's babies a-cryin' an' somebody's dog,
he's barkin' so loudly, there's a man in the hall...
Hell, it's some kinda lunatic followin' me.
He's down by the john so I can't take a pee.
I'm 's'posed t' be happy, I'm here where it's at,
I'm a face in the crowd, I'm a big city cat.
What Kinda Guy?
What kinda guy am I really am?
I love some turkey, but I don't eat lamb.
No sweet potato, but I do like ham.
What kinda guy am I really am?
What kinda guy am I really I?
I kept my jacket, but I lost my tie.
I'll tell ya truly that I sometimes lie.
What kinda guy am I really I?
What kinda guy am I really who?
Don't wear pajamas and I don't sniff glue.
I'm Mississippi, got the New York blues.
What kinda guy am I really who?
What kinda guy am I really what?
I might be leavin', but the door ain't shut.
I'm here for lovin', but I ain't no slut.
What kinda guy am I really what?
What kinda guy am I really am?
I love some turkey, but I don't eat lamb.
No sweet potato, but I do like ham.
What kinda guy am I really am?

Hey, edgar. Who is Bob Dylan. <smile>. That song is wonderful, Texas, and reminds me of "Everytime we say Goodbye."
dj, I really get in touch with your Steve Forbert, Canada. Very unusual, buddy, and thanks for the connection.
Speaking of that OIL song reminds me of Grace Slick and Jefferson Airplane. I always thought James Taylor was referring to that group when he wrote and sang, "sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground.."
Well, let's hear this one by the crew:
(Jefferson Airplane)
You are the Crown of Creation
You are the Crown of Creation
and you've got no place to go.
Soon you'll attain the stability you strive for
in the only way that it's granted
in a place among the fossils of our time.
In loyalty to their kind
they cannot tolerate our minds.
In loyalty to our kind
we cannot tolerate their obstruction.
Life is Change
How it differs from the rocks
I've seen their ways too often for my liking
New worlds to gain
My life is to survive
and be alive
for you.

Tonight, I Celebrate My Love
Peabo Bryson & Roberta Flack
Tonight, I celebrate my love for you
It seems the natural thing to do
Tonight, no one's gonna find us
We'll leave the world behind us
When I make love to you
Tonight, I celebrate my love for you
And hope that deep inside you feel it too
Tonight, our spirits will be climbing
To a sky lit up with diamonds
When I make love to you
Tonight
Tonight, I celebrate my love for you (ooh-ooh)
And that midnight sun
Is gonna come shining through (ooh-ooh)
Tonight, there'll be no distance between us
What I want most to do
Is to get close to you
Tonight
Tonight, I celebrate my love for you
And soon this old world will seem brand new
Tonight, we will both discover
How friends turn into lovers
When I make love to you
Tonight, I celebrate my love for you (ooh-ooh)
And that midnight sun
Is gonna come shining through (ooh-ooh)
Tonight, there'll be no distance between us
What I want most to do
Is to get close to you
Tonight, I celebrate my love for you
Tonight

Good morning, WA2K listeners and contributors.
edgar, I know that song, Texas. Thanks for the memory of Roberta Flack and especially her version of "Killing me Softly", as it was a tribute to Don McLean.
poem for the morning and quite enigmatic, I think:
pity this busy monster, manunkind,
not. Progress is a comfortable disease:
your victim (death and life safely beyond)
plays with the bigness of his littleness
--- electrons deify one razorblade
into a mountainrange; lenses extend
unwish through curving wherewhen till unwish
returns on its unself.
A world of made
is not a world of born --- pity poor flesh
and trees, poor stars and stones, but never this
fine specimen of hypermagical
ultraomnipotence. We doctors know
a hopeless case if --- listen: there's a hell
of a good universe next door; let's go
-- E. E. Cummings

Mission Bell
Donnie Brooks
[Words and Music by Jesse D Hodges and William Michael]
(Say that you love me)
(Say those pretty words and I will give my love to you)
My love is higher than a mission bell (how deep)
Deeper than wishin' well (how strong)
Stronger than a magic spell
My love (uh huh) for you
It's wider than the widest sea (how long)
Longer than a memory (how sweet)
Sweeter than a honey tree
My love (uh huh), oh oh oh (uh huh)
My love (uh huh), mm mm mm (uh huh) for you
Give me your heart of gold
Your heavenly magic touch
To cherish, have, and hold
I need your love so much
---- Instrumental Interlude ----
(Say that you love me)
(Say those pretty words and I will give my love to you)
My love is warmer than a day in Spring (how bright)
Brighter than a diamond ring (how brave)
Braver than a mighty king
My love (uh huh) for you
It's taller than the tallest tree (how soft)
Softer than a summer breeze
All I ask you, please
Give (uh huh) your love (uh huh)
Your love (uh huh), sweet love (uh huh) to me
(How high) higher than a mission bell
(How deep) deeper than a wishin' well
(How strong) stronger than a magic spell
(How wide)

edgar, you and dj have a wonderful sense of discography, Texas. Never heard that one, but the lyrics say it plainly--"wishing wells and mission bells". Thanks for the song.
Well, folks, we won't know about celebs until our hawkman flies in, but I did notice that Neil Diamond has a birthday today, and I just listened to this one, so let's hear it.
Oh Mary
Can you hear my song?
Does it make a mournful sound?
I sang it once when first I saw you
And I sing it to you now.
Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh
Talking bout love
Mary Oh Mary Oh
No, I don't want nothing in between
Mary Oh Mary Oh
Don't tie me to words that you don't mean
Mary Oh Mary Oh
I'm lookin' for something I never knew
Mary Oh Mary
Oh Mary
You know I'm lookin' for you
Oh Mary
You can doubt the world,
But don't ever doubt in me
I sang it once that I'd never leave you
And that's how its gonna be
Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh
Talkin' bout love
Mary Oh Mary Oh
No I don't want nothin' in between
Mary Oh Mary Oh
Don't tie me to words that you don't mean
Mary Oh Mary Oh
I'm looking for something I never knew
Mary Oh Mary
Oh Mary
You know I'm lookin' for you
Oh Mary
Let the chance go by
It may never come again
I've been around and I know what happens
And I'm too old to pretend
Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh
Mary Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh
Talkin' bout love
Mary Oh Mary Oh
No, I don't want nothing in between
Mary Oh Mary Oh
Don't tie me to words that you don't mean
Mary Oh Mary Oh
I'm lookin' for something I never knew
Mary Oh Mary
Oh Mary
You know I'm lookin' for you.
Oh Mary
Was it just a dream
That I dreamed the other night?
I saw you there
Standing right beside me
And we finally had it right
Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh
Mary Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh
Talkin' out love
Mary Oh Mary Oh
No, I don't want nothing in between
Mary Oh Mary
Don't tie me to words that you don't mean
Mary Oh Mary Oh
I'm looking for something I never knew
Mary Oh Mary Oh
Oh Mary you know I'm looking for you
Mary Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh
Mary Oh Mary Oh Mary Oh Mary Ohhhh

Good morning WA2K.
A Happy 90th (Wow) Birthday to Ernest Borgnine and 56th to Neil Diamond.
Written by: Neil Diamond and Richard Bennet
Money talks
But it don't sing and dance
And it don't walk
And long as I can have you
Here with me, I'd much rather be
Forever in blue jeans
Honey's sweet
But it ain't nothin' next to baby's treat
And if you pardon me
I'd like to say
We'll do okay
Forever in blue jeans
Maybe tonight
Maybe tonight, by the fire
All alone you and I
Nothing around
But the sound of my heart
And your sighs
Money talks
But it can't sing and dance
And it can't walk
And long as I can have you
Here with me, I'd much rather be
Forever in blue jeans, babe
And honey's sweet
But it ain't nothin' next to baby's treat
And if you pardon me I'd like to say
We'll do okay
Forever in blue jeans
Maybe tonight
Maybe tonight, by the fire
All alone you and I
Nothing around
But the sound of my heart
And your sighs
Money talks
But it can't sing and dance
And it can't walk

Good morning to you, Raggedy. A great duo this AM, PA. WOW is right, gal. Ernest looks really well for 90, right?
Loved your Neil Diamond song. I think he has improved in his vocalizing since he first began. Never cared for this one, folks:
Neil Diamond
Aw, Cracklin' Rosie, get on board
We're gonna ride
Till there ain't no more to go
Taking it slow
And Lord, don't you know
We'll have me a time with a poor man's lady
Hitchin' on a twilight train
Ain't nothing here that I care to take along
Maybe a song
To sing when I want
No need to say please to no man
For a happy tune
Oh, I love my Rosie child
You got the way to make me happy
You and me we go in style
Cracklin' Rose,
You're a store-bought woman
But you make me sing like a guitar hummin'
So hang on to me, girl,
Our song keeps runnin' on
Play it now, play it now
Play it now, my baby
Cracklin' Rosie, make me a smile
Girl, if it lasts for an hour, that's all right
We got all night to set the world right
Find us a dream that don't ask no questions
Yeah
Oh, I love my Rosie child
You got the way to make me happy
You and me we go in style
Cracklin' Rose,
You're a store-bought woman
But you make me sing like a guitar hummin'
So hang on to me, girl
Our song keeps runnin' on
Play it now, play it now
Play it now, my baby
Cracklin' Rosie, make me a smile
Girl, if it lasts for an hour, that's all right
We got all night
To set the world right
Find us a dream that don't ask no questions

As we await Boston Bob's celeb report, I ran across this weird story, folks.
Psychologist evaluates 'jungle woman' By KER MUNTHIT, Associated Press Writer
Tue Jan 23, 11:29 PM ET
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - A Spanish psychologist met Tuesday with Cambodia's "jungle woman," hoping to unravel some of the mystery surrounding the woman who emerged from the forest, naked and unable to speak, after what may have been nearly two decades in the wild.
Hector Rifa, a doctor of psychology from Spain's University of Oviedo, said his priority was to ensure the woman was receiving proper treatment for whatever traumatic experience she has undergone.
[Words by Lorenz Hart and Music by Richard Rodgers]
Bom ba ba bom bom
bom ba ba bom bom
ding dang ding
Blue moon blue blue blue moon
dit da dit dit
Bom ba ba bom bom
bom ba ba bom bom
ding dang ding
Blue moon blue blue blue moon
(repeat)
Blue Moon, you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Blue Moon, you knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for
Suddenly there appeared before me
The only one my arms could ever hold
I heard somebody whisper, ´Please adore me´
And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold, wo-o-o-o
Blue Moon, now I´m no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Bom ba ba bom bom
bom ba ba bom bom

Blue moon blue blue blue moon

Bom ba ba bom bom

Blue moon blue blue blue moon
O-o-oh

Well, edgar. I recall that song because my friend and I used to play it side by side on the piano when we were kids. Talked with her over an hour tonight, and that is not like me at all, Texas.
I never realized that Sarah Brightman was such a talented vocalist until I ran through all of her vocals and found a plethora of the things that she had done. Let's listen to this song by her:
Any Dream Will Do Lyrics
From Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat I closed my eyes,
drew back the curtain
To see for certain
what I thought I knew.
Far, far away
someone was weeping,
But the world was sleeping
Any dream will do.
I wore my coat
with golden lining,
Bright colours shining,
wonderful and new.
And in the east
the dawn was breaking
And the world was waking
Any dream will do.
A crash of drums,
a flash of light,
My golden coat,
flew out of sight.
The colours faded into darkness
I was left alone.
May I return
To the beginning?
The light is dimming,
and the dream is too.
The world and I,
We are still waiting,
Still hesitating.
Any dream will do.
Any dream will do.

You'll Lose A Good Thing
Barbara Lynn
If you should lose me, oh, yeah
You'll lose a good thing
If you should lose me, oh, yeah
You'll lose a good thing
You know I love you, do anything for you
Just don't mistreat me and I'll be good to you
'Cause if you should lose me, oh, yeah
You'll lose a good thing
I'm givin you one more chance, for you to do right
If you'll only straighten up, we'll have a good life
'Cause if you should lose me, oh, yeah
You'll lose a good thing
This is my last time, not asking any more
If you don't do right
I'm gonna march outa that door
And if you don't believe me, just try it Daddy
And you'll lose a good thing
Just try it Daddy and you'll lose a good thing
Just try it Daddy and you'll lose a good thing
Just try it Daddy and you'll lose a good thing
Just try it Daddy and you'll lose a good thing

In hounour of today being "Australia Day"
I came from the dreamtime from the dusty red soil plains
I am the ancient heart, the keeper of the flame
I stood upon the rocky shore
I watched the tall ships come
For forty thousand years I'd been the first Australian.
[2]
I came upon the prison ship bowed down by iron chains.
I cleared the land, endured the lash and waited for the rains.
I'm a settler.
I'm a farmer's wife on a dry and barren run
A convict then a free man I became Australian.
[3]
I'm the daughter of a digger who sought the mother lode
The girl became a woman on the long and dusty road
I'm a child of the depression
I saw the good times come
I'm a bushy, I'm a battler
I am Australian
[chorus]
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian
I am, you are, we are Australian.
[4]
I'm a teller of stories
I'm a singer of songs
I am Albert Namatjira
I paint the ghostly gums
I am Clancy on his horse
I'm Ned Kelly on the run
I'm the one who waltzed Matilda
I am Australian
[5]
I'm the hot wind from the desert
I'm the black soil of the plains
I'm the mountains and the valleys
I'm the drought and flooding rains
I am the rock, I am the sky
The rivers when they run
The spirit of this great land
I am Australian
[chorus]
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian
I am, you are, we are Australian.

Good morning, WA2K listeners and contributors.
edgar, I guess we all lose a good thing from time to time. Thanks for the song, Texas.
Welcome back, dadpad. Happy Australian Day, mate, and that song says it all about you down under folks. Really fabulous.
You know, folks, last evening I watched "Medium" on TV and it was a very unusual episode. That has become one of my favorites.
I won't go into the plot, but one of my favorite songs was played in the background:
Blood, Sweat, and Tears:
I'm not scared of dying
And I don't really care
If it's peace you find in dying well then
Let the time be near
If it's peace you find in dying
And if dying time is near
Just bundle up my coffin
'Cause it's cold way down there
I hear that it's cold way down there
Yeah crazy cold way down there
And when I die
And when I'm gone
There'll be one child born
In this world to carry on
To carry on
Now troubles are many
They're as deep as a well
I can swear there ain't no heaven
But I pray there ain't no hell
Yes I swear there ain't no heaven
and I pray there ain't no hell
But I'll never know by living
Only my dying will tell
Yes only my dying will tell
Yeah only my dying will tell
And when I die
And when I'm gone
There'll be one child born
In this world to carry on
To carry on
Yeah~Hoo
Give me my freedom
For as long as I can be
All I ask of living
Is to have no chains on me
All I ask of living
Is to have no chains on me
And all I ask of dying is to go naturally
Oh I want to go naturally
Here I go
Hey hey
Here comes the devil
Right behind
Look out children
Here he comes
Don't want to go by the devil
Don't want to go by demon
Don't want to go by Satan
Don't want to die uneasy
Just let me go naturally
And when I die
When I am dead, dead and gone
There'll be one child born
In our world to carry on
To carry on yeah yeah

Everybody's gone away
Said they're movin' to LA
There's not a soul I know around
Everybody's leavin' town.
Some caught a freight
Some caught a plane
Find the sunshine
Leave the rain.
They say this town'll waste your mind.
Must be right cause it's wastin' mine
Some got to win some got to lose
Good time Charlie's got the blues.
My heart keeps telling me
There ain't no kid at thirty-three
Play around you lose your wife
You play too long you lose your life.
I got my pills to ease the pain
Can't find a thing to ease the rain
Sometimes I'd like to try and settle down
But everybody's leavin' town.
Some got to win, some got to lose
Good time Charlie's got the blues.

Hey, dys. Always good to see you here. I know that song, honey. Thanks, cowboy.
I am getting a bit concerned about our hawkman. Hope all is well in Boston.
Speaking of Charlie, folks
Goodbye, Charlie by BOBBY DARIN
Goodbye... Charlie
Hate to see you go
Goodbye, Charlie
Gee ... I'm feelin' low
But, I'm cluein' you in
Someone's doin' you in, pal.
Goodbye... Charlie
Hate to see you fade
My, my Charlie
Thought you had it made
But, they're dumpin' you off
After bumpin' you off, pal.
Don't you know lechery
Leads you to treachery
Things boomerang
Someone you trifle with
Pulls out a rifle without a pang
Bang... bang... bang!
Goodbye... Charlie
Cashin' in your chips
Wild-eyed Charlie
Time you came to grips
There ain't... no doubt...
Strike three... you're out...
Goodbye... Charlie
Goodbye!
Now don't you know lechery
Leads you to treachery
Things boomerang
Someone you trifle with
Pulls out a rifle without a pang
Bang... bang... bang!
Goodbye... Charlie
Cashin' in your chips
Wild-eyed Charlie
Time you came to grips
And, there ain't... no doubt...
Strike three... you're out...
Goodbye... Charlie
Goodbye!
