c.i., you are correct. Good food and good company is much preferable to any porn we may or may not have, especially if they were home videos. Laughing

And don't forget, Ms. Letty, we have the Dr. Lola show debuting today. The thinking person's alternative to Dr. Laura. I do so hope she is planning to take calls. I have a few...um...friends.....

Oh did I volunteer to host a show? Well, I guess I did, even though I didn't realize it. I can do some real sex advice and put Dr. Laura to shame. She's so judgemental and self righteous.....not at all like me.

How do I do this? Do I have a time slot? Or do I just submit.....oh I mean present........ummmm, well do I just post something or what?

In this week's WA2K Land-Design News (short for Landscape Architecture-Architecture-Urban Design-Land Art News), this article showed up via our ArchNewsNow source -

Interesting soccer facility design contest - South Africa

Edit to improve spelling of facility for the listener.

Just received a memo from the FCC directing me to delete all references to porn, etc.

Ladies and gentlemen and entourage of WA2K, I cannot comply with the memo, because it is impossible to delete a post that is not one's own.

C.I., I am certain that the weather item on washing waters was not your fault, Andreas or otherwise.

George has a fantastic blues song on Pixel Vixens. Need to ask him to post it here.

(Cav, I keep changing you from spaniel to roe, uhoh)

Just received a letter for Dr. Laura:

Dear Dr.

I need help. Please answer my letter on WA2K radio.

Signed,
anonymous

Osso, thank you for sharing that fantastic information with our listeners(readers, anyway).

It's uplifting to know that landscape designers are putting their talents into non profit construction for the benefit of AIDS victims-- what better way than playing fields. I was also fascinated with the Zulu word for sympathy.

If only children could be educated to understand the situation.

Come on Dr. Lola Laura. Our prolific anonymous is in great need of help. Razz

Perhaps the Station Managers will let Portal and I share supplying occasional WA2K art news?

Today's WA2K Art News is a mention of a proposed new addition for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum on their own website -
The 'listener' is advised to click on Image Sheets for a series of museum photos -
Gardner Museum to get new addition by Renzo Piano

Osso, will you do me the favor of asking the artists to visit here and make their comments?

I just received George's permission to post his great blue blues satire and song:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My hubby's on the Internet
He's lookin at the porn
He abandoned our duet
To play a solo on his horn.

[chorus]
My man is surfin
While I'm lyin here alone
He prefers a pixel vixen
To his real live woman made of flesh and bone.

I put on a sexy nightie
A thong up my behind
But keeps scopin JPEGs
He ain't payin me no mind.

[chorus]

The drive is filled with pix o chicks
Whose boobs are not their own
It's a marriage made in Hell
Of silicon and silicone.

[chorus]

I'm only lookin for some lovin
Now to me that ain't so strange
But surfin takes its toll
And my hubby's out of change.

[chorus]

Yes, sure. Though I am guessing any longish discussion by our callers should be turned into an art thread (or whatever news thread) so that we keep on the radio programming time slots. Maybe we'll all generate lots of followup programs on our other channels!

You're right, Osso. Time was and is extremely important in radio. Perhaps that efficient Eva can make us a virtual log. I had hoped to include folks from other areas of the world. It seems that we have become separated recently.

Dear anonymous,

You do indeed need help. If you can't tell us more about what you need help for......then you need help to help us help you. Please, tell us more.

Keep in mind that this is sex advise, right?

Station Manager Eva here. We have a flexible schedule here at WA2K, Dr. Lola. Whenever you're ready to go on-air, just wander into Control Booth A and let the DJ on duty know. They'll open the phone lines for you.

Contrary to most radio stations, we have found that the lack of a fixed schedule has worked to our advantage. Listeners must tune in around the clock to catch their favorite program. This has caused our ratings to skyrocket. In addition, advertisers cannot sign up for fixed time slots, which gives us the freedom to schedule their spots anytime we like. We do regret having run the "Frisky's XXX All-Nude Revue at the Hardman Midnite Theater" spot right after the Lonely Housewives call-in show the night the topic was husbands with porn addictions. We lost a show host over that one. <sigh> We do the best we can, but our DJs do have a perverse sense of humor. What can I do? People love it.

We're all looking forward to "The Dr. Lola Show." We're expecting real advice from a REAL doctor with a decidedly irreverent approach. Unless, of course, you have something completely different in mind. And that would be okay, too. Remember, we're flexible here.

Hi Eva. Kelsey G called me up and asked if you'd consider Roz as an assistant to Lola...she could man the phones.

Don't worry, Letty. Remember, due to our new agreement to uplink our signal directly to the International Space Station from which it will be broadcast worldwide, we are no longer at the beck and call of the FCC or other individual nations' governmental agencies and restrictions. Just ignore that memo.

Sorry Letty but it looks like I'm gonna have to resign the Fashion post. Too much going on in the real world.

I'll be 'listening' tho...

Our DJs are free to choose their own assistants, panzade. I'll pass along your request to Dr. Lola.

Next?

Letty is on break at the moment, eoe, so I'll pass on your letter of resignation as soon as she returns. I think it is only fair to warn you, though, that she may not accept it. Due to our flexible airtime schedule, you are not required to keep regular hours. You may simply wish to decrease the frequency of your program for the coming weeks or ask for a temporary hiatus. WA2K would be perfectly willing to accommodate your schedule. We hope you will consider this, as our listeners would miss your contributions. Your ratings have been excellent.

Not really, Lola. Osso and I just decided we wanted to pace the responses and share ideas much as they do in actual radio.

For example, I would love to see Vivien, Portal star, and others talk about art on the level that all of us can appreciate.

It is such fun thinking of this as a world wide broadcast. perhaps you can persuade that Mountie to contribute.

George's delightful parody on the family and relationship category, may or may not be appreciated, but for a soccer jock, I just adore seeing people step out of character.
