Under sky,
On the stair
Of descending
Night of mare,

On the brink of
Closely falling
turning back but still
Recalling.........................

Hear me?

Goodnight, from Letty with love.

Good morning Kelly and Gautam. I am delighted that you liked my brief episode, because that is what it was--an episode.

Gautam, you must write more yourself!

<smile>Kelly, episodic and quixotic. Unfortunately with the dawn of day, Letty's way is more realistic, rather than the muse of night which reflects in candle light.

I do hope that Cav reviews your first poem and will soon write his review.

No Turning Back.....................
"Then he went out the door and down the back steps, his legs trembling from the fright his answer gave him."

This stone boy
Who was the last to be loved,
And only then when there was no one else.

He curled up inside himself
And became hard
And alone
Unknown.

Not even allowed a geste
A quest
Of beauty.
He simply complied
With duty
No suture
Could sew the open wound
This child of crypt and tomb.

From Letty with love.

I am so pleased that you like what I write, Lady J. This piece was inspired by a short story, "The Stone Boy". It was so reflective of children who are rejected, even when their parents don't realize it, and when they do, there is no turning back.

Goodnight, my friend, and thank you.

You are very welcome. It must be something in your style that hits my heartstrings. You can often times say so much with so few words. The imagery you bring to mind is so very touching. I think I should be thanking you and I do agree with our dear Prince. You should be published.

You know, Lady J, There are times when we write and times when we just think. Someone once told me that I "think" too much, and it may be an accurate description. Probably the best way to think is to write.

Kelly's poetry requires thought and that makes his writing alluring and sensitive. Please review his work sometime.

I dunno about that, Ms. Letty, but you should still be published :-) As for Ms. Lady J, anyone who quotes the great Ian Anderson, especially 'A Gift of Roses' from the mighty Dot Com album, is precious in their own right :-)

Soooooooooo. Let's Bungle in the Jungle, then, Kelly. Do you mind if I use your last poem on our virtual radio station, WA2K?

George also has a song that is hilarious and a total satire on the postings in the family and relationship categories.

Cav, is going to present a review of your "...might fortress..". Can't wait to read it.

I would be honoured and pleased to read Kelly's works. Smile

For me I am more the type as the saying goes, "Sometimes I just sits and thinks and sometimes I just sits." Smile
Not entirely true as I do pen some of those thoughts into actual written
words at times, but have never shared them with anyone.

My dear. Kelly, you have wonderful taste in music in my opinion. But, ohhhhh...to be like he who lights the fires at midnight and sits and writes his love songs as he so often does....

Lady J, look for Kelly's latest on WA2K radio. As for you m'lady. We want to see some of your verse or prose or whatever. I noticed your spelling of the word "colour"...that makes you a Brit, right?--especially since you live in the Bard's cottage. <smile>

I just read Kelly's latest work on WA2K. It was beautiful!! I had no idea....thank you for sharing that with all of us. You two are not so different you know. Capturing a moment in words, describing a moment so succinctly....
Who'da thunk in a million years I'd find two of my favorite poets right here?
