It's a shame for those who do not share the Christmas meaning,
Even though our innards could use some cleaning.
No two people have to believe always the same way.
You know goodness is there inside - we see it day to day.
But who in their right mind can ever disavow
Love, joy, and peace that one and all will allow?
Sure it's crazy shopping and decorating like mad,
But who, seriously, would dampen lights that make sights glad?
Whether it is a single candle lit by a lonely soul,
Or a holiday festive covering that big house up the knoll.
But with the holiday's spirit is the winter's shivering
And Merry Christmases spoken without any wavering,
What cold heart will not be infected with these holiday smiles?
For the rest of the year, for this time of greeting, some walk for miles.
Yes, a shame there are those who do not share Christmas style,
Let's give them the love, joy and peace and go the extra mile.
Let us go and blossom the Christmas spirit throughout the year,
For every fellow human, ?'specially to those not held dear.
Then the only shame left on us all to bear,
Is to show without giving, that we don't care.
