I saw Vanilla Sky and thought it sucked

...but now I saw Abre Los Ojos, and now I understand why they made Vanilla Sky. This spanish film is so much better! I did think Tom Cruise looked more attractive and I think I liked his acting better...but this is so much better than Vanilla Sky, because they the second half of the movie manages to feel climactic and emotional, rather than confusing anticlimactic and flaky...even though the scenes are almost a 1 for 1 match.
