a * b * c = 735
a + b + c = 735
What is a, b and c?
How do you solve this?
whim
a * b * c = a + b + c
This is a start.
Hey that's what I have!
We're must be getting close. ;-)
I suggest a Simultaneous Equation to resolve it.
There are an infinite number of solutions. I sent you a spreadsheet that calculates B and C given A.
My favorite (not accounted for in the spreadsheet) is:
735, i, -i
where i is the imaginary unit (i = sqrt(-1))
Markr: plug in some notional values for a, b and c and let's see what you get.
2000, -0.000290514, -1264.999709
500, 234.9937445, 0.006255486
732, 2.616199641, 0.383800359
And what if I say that I bought three (a,b,c ) items for a total of $7.35.
a*b*c = $7.35
a+b+c = $7.35
What were the prices of the three items?
