Polar Express in Imax 3-D...worth it?

Has anyone seen The Polar Express in IMAX 3-D? I was thinking of going next week to that version of the film when it opens here in Mexico City - maybe take a date - but am having second thoughts.

Though it's directed by Zemeckis, the movie just looks bland...like it has great visuals with zero excitement. Your garden variety kiddie story...no frills. Meh. And the reviews have been a very mixed bag, with several being unkind.

However, I'm guessing the plus-sized IMAX screen and 3-D format may give the film enough entertainment value to make it worthwhile...has anyone seen it in this format yet?? Is it eye-poppingly worth the price of admission?

Either way, I'm sure the dubbed version of Tom Hanks's voice will make me wince
