Children of my Children

Children of my children - Why do you not seek my face?
It is for this reason - the falling from my heaven's grace.

You tire too easily, and to easily do you fret,
Because you tire of the challenge, your pinnacle is never met.

So much more could be gained from life, if you at the first, you first seek me
My love is more than you imagine, that what you think you know or could ever be.

You know not the hidden shackles deep within your soul,
With my guidance I would set you free. This, for you, is my love-goal.

You wonder the why of pain, both mortal and within,
Now you know how your rebellion hurt me, before life was here to begin.

Then one day, eons ago, you found yourself on earth.
The heavens wait for those who love me. Is not heaven what it's worth?

There is no war in the heavens. This I will not allow.
Peace, Freedom and Love abounds - all others I disavow.

I love you too much to force your hand, for this cause is the freedom of choice.
It too is love though you may err, when you listen not to my voice.

Children of my children, my patience draws to an end.
For how many lives must you live, and with your thoughtless sins, I contend?
