what's the difference between a CC and BCC in emails?

@glitterbag,
A thousand years ago, we learned cc and bcc in typing/keyboarding class. We actually had to learn how to adjust the carbon paper so the bcc names couldn't be seen by anyone else. Could I do it now? not without looking it up. I recall that there was some way that was easier than typing all the names separately on each copy of the letter.

Carbon copy (CC) recipients are visible to all other recipients whereas those who are BCC are not visible to anyone.
