Alien Covenant is a masterpiece, but what makes the movie even better is the idea that it alludes to the animated Beauty and the Beast.

David killed Elisabeth Shaw. That's one of the big plot twists near the end of the movie. Unless you're striving to stretch that Walter is Belle to David's beast... and that would be ... pretty stupid in its own rights.

It seems a bit of a coincidence, that a flower, music, a castle-like structure and human-like beings are part of the story; all of these elements are part of Beauty and the Beast
