Every person is a poem.
Measured with and keeping time with = =
Their own thoughts.
Hey, TM. I agree with your mini philosophy, and for this reason, I really like your three lines. Why the double equal symbols?
Hmm...just riffing here, what about:
Measured with = keeping time
= their own thoughts
The double lines were to effect a pause for effect.
That is to say, I wanted the meanings of the words to become clear as presented to provoke an understanding from the beginning to the ending.
It is much like a rose within the self. First the tiny closed bud, then the closed bud itself grows. From thence, with an impossible measure of timing, it teases the beholder with potential of beauty by giving glimpses of color.
When the rose streches its outer leaves to reveal the depthness of the potential beauty, you have the colored bud.
Anticipation develops, making the wonder of the rose even more of a wonder, until one wonderful, sunny day, the fullness of the rose displays itself to the rapturous mind's eye.
THAT - is when understanding begins.
From there, it is hoped that the individual beholder - the reader of poems, if you will - blossoms unto even greater understanding, with the patience to develop clarity IN understanding.

.....And THAT, my friends, is the reason for the double lines....
