Phonecalls from friends during June and July.
They're the phonecalls you're likely to like.
If your phone doesn't ring from the closure of Spring,
Through the wringing of Summer you'll find...
...That the wringing of Spring may leave leaves on your trees,
Though the pages of Summer are dry.
So, what use are those trees if you can't touch their leaves
Due to phonecalls that never arrive?
another poet, Your poem is truly unusual. I do enjoy your use of ring and wring. I like the meter, too. Hope to see more of your creations.
Thankyou, Letty. I'll be posting another poem tomorrow, and another poem on Wednesday, preceding a conclusory message on Thursday
This is an awesome poem, poet. Simple, innocent, and meaningful. Excellent job!
I do like it and I don't like much hehehe I like the fact that it says a lot by not saying much at all, efficient.
...and TL. Yes, I usually write short poems
Short on words, long on meaning!
