excel problem please help!!

hello everyone,
I save a document in excel that is clearly one page and inside the margins and next time I open it itis outside the margins and prints on two pages instead of one. On the second page there is just a slice of what came off of the first page.
any ideas
I am using Excel 2000 and Windows XP

even if i say fit to page and print next time i open it it is back outside the margins on two pages.
