If discretion is the "better part" of valor,

Then, logically speaking -

The "better part" of cowardice must be ignorance.

Is there anything good about cowardice? Is this an oxymoronic piece?

well, I suppose cowards think there is something "good" in cowardice or they would not BE cowards....

Yea, it's sorta oxymoronic in an ironic sort of way...
