As usual, I have mixed feelings about horse racing, as I've read about abuse re the horses. Still, I've enjoyed watching the Kentucky Derby for years on end, and still find watching the Secretariat video a pleasure to view every couple of years.
What horse am I for? First, the horse with only one eye...the name is Patch. Next, Gunnavera, the cheapest horse when purchased. Perhaps Irish War Cry (there's a good photo).
I don't pay much mind to horse racing in general. That said, I do tune in annually for legs one and two towards the Triple Crown. If the same horse wins both, I take in The Belmont Stakes. If there are separate winners for the Derby and The Preakness, I often forget- and skip The Belmont.
This time around I'm pinning my hopes on MdCraken. Seems like a solid horse and Brian Hernandez, Jr., his jockey is rather good, as is trainer Ian Wilkes. Time will tell, I suppose.
