Looks like (assuming these odds stay more or less the same), that Hot Rod Charlie, Essential Quality, and Rock Your World are the favorites.

Worst odds go to Like the King, Brooklyn Strong, and Dynamic One.

The horses are magnificent...I hope there are no injuries during the race.

100% agreed on both counts.

All I know about the Kentucky Derby is the piece written by Hunter S Thompson, The Kentucky Derby is Decadent and Depraved, which was mostly about taking drugs at the Kentucky Derby.

The race that causes most injuries over here is The Grand National. It’s the one race that catches the entire public’s imagination, not just those into horse racing. Although various safety measures have been put in place it’s still very dangerous.

It’s a steeplechase and since 2010 29 horses have died as a result of injuries sustained during The Grand National.

I like to watch it to see all the crazy get ups - the hats and crazy ways people try to dress up for it.

I can’t post pictures, but if you google Ladies Day Royal Ascot images there’s a ton. Not just Ascot, there’s Ladies Days at all the major racetracks up and down the country, Aintree, Epsom, Newmarket, loads of the buggers. Before the lockdown there always seemed to be some racing festival going on.

I’m not into it, but my mate is, he loves going away on a meet, often with a group from the pub.

And butter wouldn’t melt in Baffert’s mouth, right. He has denied having anything to do with it. Yet, last year 2 of his thoroughbred racechorses were DQ for drug issues.
