I heard about a way to make a directory unreadable using DOS. I know that "md" in DOS means Make Directory, so would there be anyway to make that directory unreadable or undeletable using DOS? I want to do this for my very important files that I don't want my friends accidentaly deleting.

If you're using Windows NT, 2000 or XP, you can use NTFS permissions to assign only yourself rights to the folder...that can be done from Windows or a command prompt in Windows...not exactly a DOS method, but it sounds like this would cover your needs.
