The title says it all, I figure some throw-back types will know of someone they think was better than Gamarra.

... and if we are not talking only about modern central defenders, I have the name of the best sweeper in football history. Beat me on this one:

Hmm, I don't cede Franco Baresi but of course cede Beckenbauer.

Thing is, I still think Gamarra was a better defender.
