Charlie Murphy, older brother of Eddie Murphy died this week from leukemia. Charlie had a wonderful way of telling stories about celebrities. He has a story about a group invited to Prince's house after a club appearance. Price suggested a game of basketball and Charlie's group was amused, especially when they arrived on the court still wearing their costumes. Charlie said they called the match the shirts v the blouses. Prince beat their pants off, and listening to Charlie is a sublime experience. Rest In Peace Charlie
I am surprised how many liked him. I was not aware of the man at all, before he died. Now I plan to watch him on Youtube at least a few times.
@edgarblythe,
Charlie Murphy real fame came from his comedy skits on the Dave Chappelle show. He was in several well known comedy skits on the Dave Chappelle show. Two of his most famous skits is when he would narrate celebrity Hollywood stories. The two comedy story skits most people are familiar with are the Prince comedy skit and the Rick James comedy skit. He done some stand-up comedy. He will always be most famous for his roles on the Dave Chappelle show.
@edgarblythe,
My nephews would send me clips of Charlie Murphy's skits. His style is completely different than Eddie Murphy's. My son and nephews were the ones who let me know about his work.
@Real Music,
Well, its always sad when talented folks move on to the other dimension.
