I just saw that on a news feed. That's the end of fun era. I loved Centerfold, and Freeze Frame. Rest peacefully J. Geils.

Just FYI - Geils played the guitar; Peter Wolf is the singer. No less tragic, but Wolf survives.

Cripes, there goes another nail in the coffin of my youth - barhopping in Boston's Kenmore Square pubs. J. Geils and Aerosmith were often the most popular acts around the clubs in '72-'76. Caught Bonnie Raitt playing pubs (like Jack's) in Cambridge regularly back then
