Beyond that, try respecting their network for what it's worth. If they want it crippled beyond belief then that's their issue. You could try appealing to some sense of reason that they might have, though I'm guessing if they've gone so far as to block email then they have some pretty specific views on things...
Personally, I was their admin and I caught you even trying to break in, I'd work on getting you suspended. But then I'm a tad bit security minded.
On the other hand, I can't say I was much different in HS...
