Hello all,I have a cisco 2501 Cisco pro router and no access in so what are the steps to get into the router via the console port and a rolled cable I am using .This was an Ebay purchase ............. a dumb one but a purchase all the same .(I really wanted a 2600 series ) Thanks in advanced for any assistance and yes I have been to the website but I can not <en> to a router I did not setup to begin with.There has got to be a way in easier than I am trying to go.............. My ccna Virtual Lab was so much easier 
........ I have a console port aux port two serial interfaces and a place to plug in a transceiver (CentreCom) AUI to rj45 interface.
UPDATE ALL : $6.00 Serial to rj45 cable fixed the console access issue to the router ,I also with notes from Cisco site reset the en password and secret password anyhoo ........ I need someone to please assist me with a question about the aux port on the router(1) (What is it really suppose to be used for ? (2)Can I route from it to the aui 10Mps adapter plugged into the aui port ? Will that give a an in and an out to channel traffic ?
