Gaming issue, need help

My computer keeps minimizing the game I am in, dropping me out to windows. It's almost like when one hits Alt+Tabs. It happens like once every 30 min or so. It doesn't matter which game I am playing.
The odd thing is that nothing is happening in windows. It just takes me out, and no alerts, no updates, nothing. So why does my computer do this?
Worst case my game crashes after a few times of getting thrown out, which is very annoying if Im playing a game like Dungeon Defenders where one spend a considerable amount of time building defence, only for the game to end. I have removed my Windos button on my keyboard so we can rule that out. I am also sertain that I am not pushing Alt+Tab. So why does this happen? Does anyone have an answer to this mystery?

@Wucadlak,
Update, I think it might have something to do with my internet connection being unstable. I've noticed that sometimes my internet goes down for a few sec and then comes back again. Perhaps thats why I get thrown out into windows, cause the computer is reconnecting or something?

What is the game?
Are you playing in full screen?
Are you playing full resolution but windowed mode?
Do you have 2 monitors?
Do you have any other programs running in background?
Have you looked for running tasks in task manager?
Is your antivirus updating or finding stuff?

@McGentrix,
Hey McGentrix, thanks for the reply.

- I have this issue while playing World of Warcraft and Dungeon Defenders.
- I was playing fullscreen before (with low settings), but now I changed to Windowed mode in Dungeon Defenders which seems to have solved the problem.
- I play on low resolution/settings in both games because I cant stand that buzzing sound from the tiny, tiny fans working overtime on the GFX card ><
- I'm only using one monitor
- I don't have any unwanted programs running in the background. Like torrents etc.
- When I get thrown into windos there is no indication from any program what so ever. No anti virus updates, searches, scanns, etc.

Well, let's start with this premise: Computers are dumb and will only do what they are told to do.

That means that if your screen is minimizing, something is telling it to. Could be AV software, could be an Office app like One Note, could be messenger app, coupld be updates, could be out of date drivers, could be something over heating somewhere,

So, to troubleshoot that, you will need to go through and actually disable stuff one at a time until you find the cause. Also, go through the task manager and see what is running in background.

Worse comes to worse, Read about and get this.

Easy solution.

You talk to your computer repeat these words out loud so it can hear;

"See that window over there, if you keep pulling this crap I'm tossing you out it and you'll be found by some crack head who fills you up with viruses searching for porn."

Trust me your computer will heed that threat.
