Hi guys! I've got a simple problem but I can't seem to think of the solution. If anyone could help it would put me back on my way. Thanks in advance.

Here's the problem: I've got a WIN95 machine that I'm planning on re-formatting and doing a clean install of the OS. This machine has a LS-120 Superdisk that was installed in one of the floppy bays with the drive designator 'B:' I guess I lost the Windows driver or something because this drive shows in DOS mode but is not seen by Windows. I need this drive to back-up files to prior to the format/re-install.

I'm somewhat of a newbie in this area so take it easy on me please. Thanks again!

Try googlingfor a driver. You'd be best off if you knew who the manufacturer is, but it's possible that a different manufacturer's drivers may work fine for the drive.

It would also be good to check out the device manager (right click on my computer and select properties) and see if it is listed there as "unknown hardware"...if it is then you need to remove it from there before you'll be able to install a driver.

If it works in dos, you always have the option of copying the files there. The only downside is that you'll lose long filenames, which, depending on what you're backing up, may or may not be important.

Thanks slaad! I found the driver by googling for it. I tried installing through Windows with no results. DOS install worked premo. Thanks again for the thought.
