Are the properties pages only slow to come up for audio/video files, and not other file formats? Perhaps you have some third party program either providing additional info on those pages or locking access to the file, and the app is just taking a long time to do its thing. Have you tried accessing audio/video file properties pages immediately after a fresh installation of Windows, with no other programs installed?
