I'm happy that Boston won, they had a great season.

But enough AL talk... I'm rooting for Houston, what team is your pick or fave in the NL?

"...Thousands of Yankee fans had left the stadium early, including Yogi Berra, the Yankees legend famous for his phrase ''It ain't over till it's over," who quietly departed before the seventh inning..."

Actually, this is the second cold wave in Hell - the first came when the Patriots won the Super Bowl (IMHO).

(This one is huge, though!)

So true about beating the Yankees vs. winning the World Series! We have to keep reminding ourselves that there are a few more games left.

And Charlie Brown finally kicked that Football!

For history buffs here's a little info on the 1967 World Series.

The Red Sox 'Impossible Dream' team of Yastremski, Lonborg et al faced a formidable St Louis Cardinals team featuring the likes of hall-of-famer Bob Gibson and Lou Brock.

P.S. (Worry Department)
Then, as now, the Cardinals excelled at "Small ball'.

Oh, then there was the '46 series...

...with Red Sox: Ted Williams, Bobby Doerr, Johnny Pesky and Dom Dimaggio -yes, brother of THAT Dimaggio, of Evil Empire fame)

Their St. Louis Cardinals opponents included:
Stan, "The Man" Musial, Red Schoendienst, Enos "Country" Slaughter, and catcher Joe Garagiola (yes, THAT Joe Garagiola! )
