Does more than one activity apply towards melting at linear island chains?

-decompression melting as the mantle rises

-melting by adding water along a subduction zone,

-melting of continental crust caused by an influx of mantle-derived magma

@morgandl,
whats the mineral assemblage? you have more keys than that Im sure.
Even if we all have access to the same internet to make us all experts , you must have the basic knowledge to know what questions to ask.

@farmerman,
Actually, there are no specifics given - it's just straightforward. The mid-ocean ridge is the feature. I've already determined the plate boundary is an oceanic divergent but remain unsure on the likely cause (or causes) of melting.
