husband just had his pants (ankle) operated on this afternoon. We just got home at 7:30 and are both exhausted. I think I'll just take off my pants and go to bed.

Yes, he was. A relative of his, William Greenleaf Eliot, was a Unitarian Minister of the church where I was a member for many years. TS went to Sunday school there, I've heard, and there is a TS Eliot Society that holds its annual meeting at the church. How's that for pants? Incidentally, mine are back on.
