@Lash,
Except one is fanning the fires of hatred and the other isn't. When senseless hatred dominates the political discourse, bullets usually start flying.

@Lash,
Because our friend Ollie comes from a part of the world where dictators have regularly risen to power, and because he probably has been raised to be anti-American, it's not surprising that he would make the ridiculously long leap from the Trump warts to Fuhrer.

For over 200 years, Americans and our system of government have prevented the rule of strongmen like Robespierre, Napoleon, Louis Napoleon, Salazar, Mussolini, Hitler, Petain, Franco and Tito. This is just the short list. There were many more throughout the years the USA has been in existence, but not a one here.

I've not seen any posts supporting terrorism. I have seen plenty of Islamophobic posts from bigots trying to smear all Muslims.

Considering how much trouble 0.001% of the Muslim population have caused it's not exactly a smart move to piss off the other 99.999%.

The question is why aren't the 99.999% of the other Muslims pissed off for what the .001% are doing to their religion... And the rest of the world. Got an answer for that one genius?

@giujohn,
There are plenty of Muslims very angry about Islamist terror, and saying it as loud as they can or dare to. Go find one, any one out there, and try and have a genuine dialogue with him or her how s/he feels about fellow Muslims plowing through crowds with trucks. Most are totally disgusted.

And they are more and more scared too. Scared of being the next one butchered. Scared of being sent back to whatever civil war they fled... Scared also that a neo-nazi revival in Europe and the US could lead to their own personal holocaust, or at the least their own pogroms and crystal nights...

Do have any proof to back this up?

In all my years I have never seen a group of angry muslims protesting about muslim islamic terrorists.

@Finn dAbuzz,
Oh, and I take grave exception of your statement that I "probably have been raised to be anti-American" . I wish you'd keep my old folks out of it, if at all possible. Especially my father who as a kid lived through the exile and nazi occupation and privations and bombings of WW2 in northern France and has always been very grateful for America, and hooked on its music and Hollywood movies and what not.

I consider myself a big fan of America as a nation. I love its people, its culture and amazing history. I'm happy to be back in Europe, but I've lived in New York for a few great years, long enough to appreciate you people.

You got me confused with another poster...

@Olivier5,
Just as I expected - you have zero proof that there are plenty of Muslims very angry about Islamist terror, and saying it as loud as they can or dare to.

Thank you for posting that. Do you know his name? Maybe he keeps it quiet but more likely he doesn't. Anyway, I want to remember it, if you know it.

You're trying to support your claim with one guy in his car.

Maybe you should go back and read what you wrote, and try again.

@Olivier5,
Oh, it could happen here, but the chance of it being Trump is microscopic. Regardless of what his intentions might be, the circumstances that give rise to the populace supporting dictators are not present.

As we all know, I did not wish either candidate to win. I view her as a slow disaster, him as getting us on the disaster expressway.

And... there was a NY Times article of interest, where he was discussed:

HRC would have fast tracked more corruption in government, and more death everywhere.
Trump will fast track prosperity and economic growth in America, while strengthening the nation.
