Posted this Q
on the Books thread this afternoon but didnt get much response yet, perhaps here?
------------
Someone asked me a very simple question just now: can you give me the names of some famous Europeans, who have said something really noteworthy about diversity/ integration/ multiculture in today's and/or tomorrow's Europe - authors, performing artists, intellectuals, preferably of colour - aspiring Salmon Rushdies, say ...
To my great shock, I just went blank. I mean, although I've been shamefully behind on keeping up with literature, I do follow the news and current debates quite closely, and this is something like my topic - I must know dozens of names, in fact - but I just went blank! Dunno what that is.
Anyway, can some of you give me an aha-erlebnis by providing me with those names that just seem to have gone zip outta my mind? I would be
most obliged ...
