Dash Darewell, Captain of the Starship SPUNKLESS, surveyed the stark surface of the class-Q planet they orbited.
"Bubbles," he said; "Prepare a landing party."
"Yes, sir, but don't call me by that IMMATURE name," said Lieutenant Bublovsky.
Scant minutes later, Captain Darewell and the landing party stood upon the EBONY-colored rocks of the mysterious planet.
"Captain!" shouted Yeoman Yohoho. "I'm letecting millions of molecules of an unknown substance in the soil"
"You mean detecting?"
"Yes, Captain, you know I have a speech impeliment anl I can't say the letter "l". This strange substance is getting my uniform all LUSTY."
"Dusty, yes." said the Captain.
"No, Captain, LUSTY!"
With that, Yohoho's uniform came alive, ripped itself off the Yeoman's body, and began a seductive dance in front of the landing party.
"This is incredible!" said the Captain, as one by one the landing party's uniforms tore away and joined in the RACY dance. "Quick, beam us up!" said the Captain into his communicator.
An embarrassed landing crew, safe once more on the SPUNKLESS, swore never again to visit the planet of the dancing uniforms...

Caddamor
Deep within an ebony forest there lived a golden dragon. One thinks of dragons as ancient, never aging creatures with lusty appetites. Caddamor may have been ancient in human terms, but he was at 800 years still only a baby. His daddy had succumbed to the lance of a wandering Knight who then carried off the family treasure. That left the family penniless, and a joke in Dragon circles. Caddamor's racy momma, unable to bear the shame, ran off with the first wandering minstrel who happened by. Poor Caddamor was left an orphan to fend for himself. His self-esteem suffered terribly, and he hid whenever a damsel ventured into the forest.

Most days he hung out in the cave of his childhood feeling sorry for himself. He was a lonely dragon left without a single golden coin, or pile of diamonds to play with. Caddamor knew he was missing something, but couldn't quite put a scaly claw upon the reason for his restlessness. Caddamor slept a lot, not because he was spunkless, but because he was bored and computer games had not yet been invented.

One fine Spring day when the sky was blue and the air was perfumed by blooming flowers, a great procession came into the wood. A princess was being conducted from her father's castle to the home of her betrothed. The procession was led by a band of musicians playing a gay tune to amuse their mistress. A juggler and a jester tumbled and tossed about riddles. Several large carts carried fine linen and candlesticks so that my lady could eat comfortably beneath a silken tent. There were twenty carts laden with a golden dowry for the wedding. A bodyguard of a hundred armored knights on prancing steeds protectively surrounded the party. As you might suppose, the party made considerable noise as they proceeded along their journey.

Caddamor first noticed that small animals and birds were scurrying away past his cave. Then on a slight breeze he heard the distant music. He wondered what was happening, and crouched within the darkness of his cave to watch. As the sun began to set and the procession came into view it halted for the night. The silken tent was erected, and a boar was sizzling on the spit. Caddamor surveyed the armed encampment and remembered how his daddy had been slain two hundred years before by a single knight. The moon rose like a golden dish over the forest crowning the treetops with a pale light. Beneath the forest canopy all was dark outside the circle of flickering campfires. The singing and dancing went on long into the night. Caddamor continued to watch from the concealment of the vines covering the entrance to his cave.

Caddamor might have remained hidden and undiscovered, but the smell of fresh bread baking in the coals made him hungry. His stomach growled. Down in the camp, a sentry anxiously scanned the sky to discover if rain might shortly follow the thunder. Caddamor licked his lips, and belched. Little flames briefly lit the cavern, and the sentry noted that lightening seemed to come from the mountain. Caddamor, being a very immature dragon, could not curb his impulses any longer. He sprang from his cave, spread his little wings and fell upon the camp. The hundred knights went from sleep to Valhalla not even knowing they were under attack. Caddamor's flaming breath roasted the steeds and he ate them with relish from the Princess' own table. He then gobbled up the bread, and twenty pies as desert. "This is fun", he thought and sat down to consider what he should do next.

The princess didn't like being shaken from her rest in the middle of the night, and she was just a little perturbed. First she called for her attendants, but only the juggler and jester appeared. "All the rest have fled in fear, my lady". The princess stamped her dainty feet and stormed over to where Caddamor sat digesting his dinner.

"You, you nasty beast. What have you done to my escort? I suppose you think your pretty smart, huh? Well, now you'd better start thinking about how I'm supposed to get over to Prince Panquito's castle. He's expecting me you know. Who gave you permission to eat my pies? You've scared all the cooks and ladies in waiting away, so who is going to fix my breakfast and tie up my corset? You're pretty quiet now, aren't you?" The princess was clearly not pleased with Caddamor, and it hurt his feelings.

He hung his head, and dug into the dirt with his toe. His face turned a darker shade of green as he blushed.

The princess could see she had the upper hand, and continued to storm and scold. "Why you call yourself a dragon, ha! I've never seen such poor manners. Did anyone at all invite you to visit my camp? Show me your invitation. I'll bet you live in some dank smelly old cave, and eat off of paper plates. Has anyone ever told you that your breath stinks? When was the last time you brushed your teeth?" The princess had a tendency to get both emotional and personal when angry. If the princess hadn't such a reputation for shrillness perhaps the King, her doting father, would have been able to get rid of her for a smaller dowry. Prince Panquito was known to be a dullard, but even he expected some additional compensation.

Caddamor had come to the end of his patience. He gobbled down the princess in a single gulp. After all, Caddamor was a dragon and that's what dragons do. He turned to the juggler and jester to see if they had anything to say in the matter. They didn't. Caddamor had the juggler and the jester move the golden dowry into his cave. When the Dragon Daily reported that Caddamor had recovered the family fortune and even had a juggler and a jester to keep him amused, he became the most eligible bachelor around. At last report Caddamor was busy chasing immature, but lusty dragonesses in a racy ebony sports car. Spunkless isn't in the dictionary, so I guess I don't have to use it here.
