Old monitor ==> New PC

Hello, I am about to buy a new tower with only the best. However I am planning to keep my old ev910 19" monitor. I wanna know if this might reduce the power of my future graphic card (e.g: ATi Radeon 9800Pro 256MB) or if I might still not have a the quality of graphics that this graphic card can produce.
