I'm just curious how many guys out there are on the atkins diet?? I've been on it for a while now and so far so good. I don't know any dudes on it so I thought maybe it was a chick diet. But it's workin' for me so what the hell! I heard that there will be a new atkins dvd out in october. I think you can get it from walmart.com I'm thinking about checking it out, what do you guys think?
I never heard about it being a chick diet. This whole Aktins thing depends why you are dieting. Keep in mind, Atkins is a diet for someone who does not excercise a lot, is overweight, and wants to lose fast. It is not intended for someone who is active (somone who excercises more than a couple of times a week). You may try to get your hands on Carmichaels book Food for Fitness.
good luck!

Boy, djdp is prolific.
Anyhow, I heard it works better for guys than most women. Anyhow, I have been on and off (I reach a point where I think I can maintain, but...) with success.
I'm a guy.
I started on it with the Lovely Bride and lost about ten pounds. I'm now using a "modified" version. This means I cheat a lot. I don't know wy it wouldn't be for someone who doesn't exercise. I exercise pretty regularly. I wasn't grossly overweight, but I was definitely outside the normal range.
