Funny Pop Up - Downloader

At least twice now I have seen a small window pop up, once while visiting this site, once at another site, indicating something is being downloaded (there is a URL, but it goes away so quickly all I could make out was "cache" in the text).

I've run Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D and found nothing. Might this have something to do with the banner ads?
