My school has wireless internet which I access from my dorm room. However, there is a proxy server set up which means that I can't access certain sites or do certain things, I can't even get on peer to peer sharing networks like kazaa. It's a major pain in the pain ass and I can't find anyway to get around these settings. If anybody could help me override these settings, then I would appreciate it very much.
Thanks,
Doins

Sorry, but those restrictions were placed on the network by the school's IT department for a reason.. If you don't like it, find a different school that doesn't have those restrictions.
No one here will nelp you circumvent school policy !!

Well, I'll help you:
1) Get your own ISP connection (you will probably have to pay for it).
2) It should allow use of Kazaa and your uni won't care since they just want to protect their bandwidth use and you'd be paying for yours.
If you want to use their connection and circumvent their policies at the same time, well that's not something I'd help you with. But for a small price you can have your own connection and make your own rules (within the limits of the ISP rules).
