Wanted to post this on the Staffers Forum, but I'm apparently not allowed to post there anymore. There's an *awful* lot of featured threads in the international news forum. Most other forums just have a couple, but that one has a page full. Means that any non-featured thread just kind of automatically gets buried somewhere down on the page, no matter how recently it was posted to. Just struck me, seems unfriendly.
I'm one of the Custodians of the International News Forum.
It is difficult, because that are all important topics.
But ok, I would change it. Either this afternoon or tomorrow. (EST)
If you can't wait, please call try to call dlowan.
Re: Featured threads in International News
done, I sent the request.

That's a matter of fact. Weird, a administrator should, if time is available, attend for it.
Thok
I doubt that an administratore has so much time (they are all volunteers) to read every thread and find your remarks here.
Try by yourself and us those various functions via the
HELP at the bottom of the page/right site.
er, what do you mean?
I already sent the request to defeature some topics in the above mentioned forum categorie.
For the access to the special forums. Do this yourself or everyone else.
I know time is scarce, also on my side.
Thanks Thok. There was no hurry, it was just something that suddenly caught my eye and seemed wrong. I'm glad you did something about it, thanks - keep up the good work!
The featured and defatured process stangnated due to technical issues, and hasn't gotten back up to speed.
The suspention of it was aimed exclusively at this kind of problem.
Forum custodians haven't had much guidance on this, but there is always supposed to be 10 (not more or less) featured threads.
Anywho, as to posting access it's the way it has been for months, and is that way for organizational purposes only (as it stands it's hard to keep up).
