Finally, help identifying a gouache signed "ERICH"

Seems framed in the fifties. The nails line up. Did you remove the dust liner? Were there any labels or writing? What's written in the lower left corner of the front?

Seems well painted. Worth the $10. The frame seems deep enough for glass, a mat, a dust cover. After the repair its gotta be worth $250 -$300 not knowing anything more about it. That note might be clue you need.
